The most amazing experience for my cat Noodle!
Jane at Woodland Nook provided my little boy the best service we could have asked for. He had recently had surgery and I wanted to ensure he was happy and comfortable. I am a registered Veterinary Nurse and a good cattery is hard to find, but my cat Noodle has never been so happy and settled! Jane was so attentive to his needs, and gave him everything and more!! Will certainly be back!Xxx

Simply Purrrrfect!
This really is a boarding cattery without comparison. Each cat has their own room with a proper bed, play area and catio. They get individual attention with lots of cuddles. Our cat was so relaxed when we picked him up, not sure he wanted to leave! Cannot recommend highly enough.

The best
When I first began looking at somewhere for my fur babies to stay I worried that no one would be able to care for them like I do. I was wrong and don’t admit this very often. However Jane at Woodland Nook restored my faith in people who genuinely care about fur babies and not just making money.
It is quite literally the best place you could house your fur babies if you have to leave them, nothing was too much trouble, my boys and I had separation anxiety and Jane kept me regularly informed with daily updates to put my mind at rest.
They truly loved their stay at Woodland Nook and as a lady who calls her boys her sons because they are not just cats! I would hand on heart highly recommend you take your babies here. 5 out of 5 is simply not enough to praise this stunning place.
Teddy and Stanlee will be seeing Auntie Jane again in June it’s that fabulous.

If Carlsberg did catteries...
Billy Whizz stayed at Woodland Nook last week while we had decorator in. We just knew he'd be safer there, not stressed or into mischief, looked after with care and kindness and fun by Jane and Paul. This is third time for Billy in the 'retreat' since summer. He loves being there and gets so much attention. His gaff this time had a mezzanine and pine staircase which he was never off and kept him stimulated and curious. He had a water fountain to drink from another novelty and Jane sent fun video of him quaffing his filtered water. As another review said: you want to stay there yourself escaping from the world. Sure someone must have said this before but 'if Carlsberg did catteries it'd be woodland nook....'

Amazing cattery!
We were fortunate enough to discover this true gem of a cattery. Our kitten gets very anxious if he is left alone, yet came out very relaxed, clearly having had plenty of human contact. The facilities are amazing. Jane goes above and beyond and treats them like her own. Being Veterinary Professionals, I would have no hesitation in recommending this cattery.

Incredible Cat Hotel
My precious Rosie has just spent two weeks at Woodland Nook with Aunty Jane. Before I visited the cattery and met Jane I worried about leaving her for so long but after my first visit I was completely put at ease. Rosie had a settling in session before the holiday to get to know both her luxury room and her Aunty Jane and after the session I knew that there was nowhere better for her to stay.
When I dropped her off complete with boxes, blankets and toys to personalise her room, she already seemed at ease. Jane kept me well updated with pictures and letting me know she was eating and happy.
When I arrived to pick her up, it made me so happy to see how Aunty Jane and Rosie had bonded. It was clear to see that she had enjoyed her stay so much.
I can’t imagine ever leaving her anywhere else, the peace of mind knowing that she was being looked after and loved and spoilt as much as she would at home made for a very relaxing holiday.

Purrrr-fect!!
We've had cats for over 20 years now and have used quite a few catteries when living in different areas. The vast majority have been excellent, but Woodland Nook is just on a different level! It goes over and above our best expectations and we can't recommend it enough.
The facilities are fantastic and the level of care and attention that the cats receive is wonderful.

Outstanding more than 5 stars 🌟
It's more of a cat hotel, home from home.
Ella loved Auntie Jane and Uncle Paul, they spent so much time settling Ella in. Ella's accommodation was outstanding but the personal care goes above and beyond. Jane has such a love for all cats.
We loved receiving photos off Ella looking happy and settled.
I can honestly say I was alright leaving Ella with Jane knowing she was in such good hands.

Outstanding & First class
This is the 2nd time this year our furr baby has been to Woodland Nook, the 2nd time in the Lodge & so glad I found it & definately will not be going anywhere else. What a beautiful cattery & an amazing find & very well run & maintained. Definately 5 star + rating. Auntie Jane is an absolute gem with the cats & are very well looked after through their stay. Each room are spacious, fully equipped from beds & bedding, aircon, tele, radio, subtle lighting for night time & are in a safe environment. My cat is a happy relaxed boy & that makes me a very happy customer. Thanks again Jane xx

Amazing place
What can I say about Jane and Woodland Nook Cattery, what an amazing place, Aunty Jane is marvellous I would not want to leave my fur baby Eddie anywhere else, she loves him like he’s her own, I am completely at ease when he is there in the knowledge that he is well fed and truly pampered. Thank you so much Jane for all your care and attention you paid to looking after our boy. I would highly recommend to anyone without a doubt. Thank you again love from Eddie

Amazing Cattery !
6 star plus Cattery ! Our boy stayed here for a week and the penthouse suite was just amazing like a hotel room ! A double bed, TV, treats, a balcony he could play on, just brilliant - Jane sent regular updates and photos the care our baby Shadow received was the best - will definitely be booking again !!

Purfect 5* Cattery
My Two BSH cats have been going to Janes for the past year , before that I didn’t trust anyone to care for them the way we do! I honestly wouldn’t leave them anywhere else, Jane cares for them like they are they are her own. My fur babies love going there and I can relax knowing they are cared for like we do. Daisy
Omg this place is amazing when Jayne who is a absolute diamond shown me round I walked round saying WOW the only other time I’ve ever said WOW was when I watched my first granddaughter born. I would love to stay in one of the penthouse suites myself for a week 😘. We took daisy who is 7 years old it’s the first time she has ever been in a cattery I normally get people in to care for her but last time we left her she lost a lot of hair through stress so we wasn’t happy leaving her at home again. Thankfully we found Jayne daisy stayed with her for 6 nights and thankfully daisy has come backs very happy cat. I was very anxious about leaving her but Jayne put me at ease sending me photos and updates so my holiday was very stress free cause I knew daisy was in good hands and safe. She has been home 3 days no loss of fur and is very happy. So yes daisy will be visiting Jayne again. Thank you Jayne you are marvellous x

What a wonderful place.
We have just collected our cat following a week away and we could not be happier. Billy is a very nervous and anxious boy and needs lots of love and attention. He could not have been in safer hands, Jayne is a wonderful, kind, caring and genuine person. She has a wealth of experience which is evident in the way she manages both the animals and the parents. From the moment we arrived I felt as though we were handing our boy over to a friend as opposed to someone we did not know.
The cattery is set amongst the backdrop of a woodland and is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The accomodation is amazing with his own bed and TV, a patio and conservatory area. All of his sensory and physical needs were very much the priority. The accomodation is very clean and luxurious. Jayne spoke to us at length to reassure us and kept us updated regularly . I cannot recommend Jayne and the cattery highly enough and look forward to booking him in again soon.

Wouldn’t take them anywhere else
Wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else. As a vet I get particularly anxious about leaving them in the care of someone else but I drop them off on their holidays and no longer feel an overwhelming sense of worry or guilt. Daily updates reassure me they are in the best care. Thank you Jane for everything you do to look after them and reassure an overprotective mummy xx

A truely stress free experience
This was the first time I had left my 8 month old, timid girl with anyone. I was so anxious about leaving her with anyone and especially at an impersonal cattery where carers are busy, with little time for each of the cats in their care. I could not have been more wrong. Jane and her cattery are beyond outstanding. The accommodation is beautiful, it really is a home from home. It beautifully clean and relaxing with lovely views for the cats to while away the day. Such a clever concept and so comfortable. My little Lola thrived during her stay with Auntie Jane who spent lots of time helping her settle. I will have no anxieties about leaving her again with Jane and can't think I would ever leave her anywhere else.
Huge thanks to Jane and her talented, wood activity centre maker husband. You cannot believe how easy you made this process and how much you are appreciated.

Wow wow wow
Woodland Nook is just the nicest place to leave your cats. Jane the owner is the sweetest kindest gentlest genuine lady to care for them . It was the first time leaving my cats for a week. Jane kept me informed how they were getting on which was so kind and even sent me photos. The cattery is just an idyllic place so so clean and it smells lovely too. I hope Jane never gives up what is obviously her passion she really is one of a kind . Your cats will be so well cared and looked after they won’t want to leave. Thankyou Jane for all your kindness.

Billy and Booees Creten princes holiday xx
We cannot recommend Woodland Nook enough, we have known Jane and Paul for a good 10 years as a rescue centre and boarding cattery, This is first time we have used the cattery and wouldn’t hesitate to use again soon, we had regular updates and pictures to reassure us and the lodges and penthouse rooms definitely do not disappoint they have been well and truly looked after with also their daily treats of steamed fish, Rotisserie chicken, sirloin of beef or Tuna !! they are now home not stressed at all happy and relaxed,
You can also take their favourite toys, scratchy posts anything that helps them to relax we Evan took our bedding for their bed lol 😂 xx
We now know we can go on holiday and relax and know they are looked after well xx

Lovely lady, great prices and she really does pur your mind at ease with daily updates also!
The cattery is clean and also stunning, looking like real homes so your babies feel almost at home.

The best cattery!!
I wouldn’t take my cat anywhere else! Jane takes care of the cats as if they were her own. I received daily updates which put my mind at rest being able to see her so relaxed there. I am a veterinary nurse and the first time I left our cat in the cattery I was so worried but immediately as soon as I got her there I was put at ease after seeing how amazing the cattery facilities are and how caring Jane is with the cats. I couldn’t recommend woodland nook enough! If your in doubt book a viewing and you will not want to send your cat anywhere but woodland nook!

Luxury cattery
This was the first time our very nervous cat stayed with Jane. And WOW so pleased we found her superb cattery which offers luxury accommodation for cats in a homely caring environment. The accommodation is pure luxury where every little detail is considered for the pets. Jane is a very gentle and kind lady who clearly loves the animals and loves what she does. Her husband is an incredible carpenter/builder who has helped develop her dream. Our cat was very nervous in his new environment but we knew straight away that he would be cared for by Jane. Jane very kindly sent us regular pictures of our cat with little messages that comforted us that he was okay, and she clearly spent quite a lot of time with him helping him to settle in. She was even able to coax him out from his hiding place under the bed with regular treats. We can't thank her enough for her care and kindness with our much loved pet. He is looking forward to his next holiday with Aunty Jane.

They have tv, bed. Catios,the security is second to none.
We received regular updates photos and videos via what’s app about how the boys was getting on. They was on their own little holiday in a woodland retreat. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple. We have already rebooked 3 holidays. Literally we would cancel our holiday if we couldn’t get them in.THE BEST

Absolutely Perfect
Truly the best place to take your cat to stay: lots of care and attention, every detail considered and amazing service. All tied together with beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere.

Our cat was particularly nervous and needed lots of extra settling in, but by the time we collected him, he was happy, calm and clearly loved Jane to bits!

We will have no hesitation whatsoever in taking him again, we would stay there ourselves if we could!

Perfect
I booked in my cats with Jane at Woodland Nook for the first time this year, having never used a cattery before. Any worries I had beforehand were immediately put at ease upon arrival. Jane was fantastic; one of my cats was initially very nervous but her patience and care meant that upon collection, both cats were very happy in their holiday home and had evidently enjoyed their stay! I received updates and photos everyday with how they were doing. The facilities are amazing, I knew my cats would have everything they need and more. I’m a veterinary nurse myself, and would 100% trust Jane to care for my cats again and again.

Home from Home Cattery
If your cat could book a luxury break, this is where it would be.
This place is so impressive in every detail. It was my cat's second visit to this beautiful feline retreat in a tranquil setting. Every cattery in this country should look to this place as the bench mark in feline care.
I along with many owners consider my 'Cat' very much a member of my family. Her happiness and well being are very important to me, so much so I find it impossible to enjoy my holiday without total peace of mind. Woodland Nook provides this.
The proprietor 'jane' or Auntie Jane, as my cat now think's of her, is very good at her vocation and devoted to the animals left in her care. My rescue cat is nervous and does not easily take to anything or anyone new to her. Jane was sensitive to this straight away, making her stay with her as stress free as possible. I really feel like I am taking my cat to her holiday home from home.
Once you've tried here you won't want to go anywhere else.

The best cattery we've used!
Can't recommend Woodland Nook highly enough! We have 3 cats, all with different needs and personalities, including a Siamese who demands a lot of attention due to health and emotional (!) requirements. We recently used the cattery for the 1st time. We were confident that our 'motley crew' would be very well looked after but Jane's care and attention surpassed even that. She went to great lengths to ensure that they were happy, comfortable and well cared for. We collected 3 very contented (and rather smug) cats at the end of their stay!
The facilities are fantastic - cats have plenty of space and areas to hide, or lounge in! There's also an outdoor area where they can sit and watch the world (and birds) go by. Everything was immaculately clean.
Jane gave us a very comprehensive tour before we booked - I'd suggest that anyone who's new to Woodland Nook and considering making a booking to do this. This is a cattery which is over and above the 'norm'!

Great December getaway for both cat and owner
I used this lovely cattery in December for my 14 year old cat who is very set in her ways. The rooms are so lovely and overlook countryside - not a cage in sight and very much bespoke caring to the needs of the individual animal. And the owner is catered for too with regular updates direct to your phone whilst away. AS a result my cat came home very relaxed, looking beautiful and as a testament to the great care, she is booked in for another 3 holidays.

Calm and loves what she does
It was our kitty’s first time in a cattery and she stayed for a week. Jane gave us daily updates as requested and was so patient with her. Jane tried many different foods with her to help her settle in and eventually managed to calm her down. I can’t thank Jane enough for giving our kitty a safe and warm environment for Christmas.

10☆+ care for felines
I really can't recommend Woodland Nook & Jane highly enough. This really is the most amazing place & Jane has thought of every little detail to make sure the experience is a positive one.
This is the first time we've used a cattery & I must admit I was concerned how our cats would settle. In 11 years they have never been away from home apart from brief visits to the vets. Moving house meant we needed somewhere for them to stay.
Jane instantly made them welcome & I must admit I was amazed. They settled so quickly & the regular photo updates from Jane put my mind at rest. The lodges are a very home like environment (or better, could have booked myself in for a few days ;) !). When I collected them they were both settled, purring & all over Jane (I think they would have preferred to stay to be honest!)
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodland Nook & Jane to anyone that's looking for the perfect place to leave their cats in the knowledge they will receive the best possible care.

What an amazing place!
After taking my cat Bryn to stay at Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery for almost 2 weeks, I was completely amazed at what a 'home from home' it was! He had his own penthouse room, complete with single bed, flatscreen TV, a secure decked balcony, toys and heated bedding. It was so comfortable I suspect he did not want to leave when I went to collect him! An absolutely superb service provided by Jane, I left him feeling completely relaxed as I did not worry about him being looked after. All at an affordable price. Highly recommend.

My cats home from home…
I can’t thank Jane enough for making a home from home environment for my two British shorthair cats that had never been in a Cattery before, she went above and beyond to settle them in and reassure them.
Jane sends lots of updates whilst they are in her care which is most reassuring.

First class professional service
I have been using Woodland for many years. I would not entrust my cats to anyone else. The rooms are spacious, spotless, safe and warm. My timid little girl Alice stayed for the first time recently. Jane gave us her full attention on arrival and spent time daily helping Alice settle down! I went on holiday feeling relaxed knowing my cat was in the best hands! 😺🙂💖

Amazing cat haven
It is my pleasure and duty to leave Jane and her amazing cattery five stars 5***** , my two cats haven’t been in a cattery for over three years and Woodland Nook is a home from home, I would have no hesitation in boarding my boys there again. Jane spent an hour with me on my booking showing me around and the lodges, each lodge has both indoor and outdoor space, a bed in each room with bedding, toys and home comforts including a television. I was sent some beautiful photographs and a video of my boys which put my mind at rest and reassured me that they were both happy. I particularly liked the fact that Jane spent time with my boys, she sat down with them on the floor petting them and bonding with them. This is a cat haven and a cat owner haven as the level and quality of care is amazing. Thank you Jane from Nicola, Morris and Tom Tom.

Most luxurious cattery and kitty well-being centre possible
I cannot sing Jane’s praises highly enough! I felt completely happy and confident leaving my three fur babies in her caring hands when I went away. Both Jane and her hubby, Paul, are so kind and calm and have the most luxurious kitty accommodation possible! My babies had their own bedroom, sitting room and kitchen: home-from-home and sheer luxury, fit even for humans! In fact, my Dad thought he’d be more than happy staying there himself for his holiday! Jane kept me updated with how my kitties were and spent so much time getting to know them and helping them to settle. I will never go anywhere else and am so grateful for all Jane did. Thank you so much Jane for everything, and myself and my fur babies look forward to seeing you soon!

A special place
Despite being an hours drive from our home we wouldn’t take our cats anywhere else. As a veterinary surgeon I can get extremely anxious at the thought of trusting my babies in the hands of someone else as it’s not something I usually ever have to do. However the lodges are incredible and more importantly Jane is amazing, very calm/caring with the cats but also very patient with slightly stressy owners like myself 🤣

Home from home
We are so lucky to have a Cattery of this amazing standard so close to our home. Jane goes above and beyond to accommodate us and to look after our little girl Lucy. She treats her as if she was her own and we receive regular updates and pictures from her when we are away. The room are spacious, clean, cosy and have the familiar luxuries a cat loves to enjoy at home such as a bed, tv, toys and a lovely garden to look out at. Would 100% recommend.

Devoted surrogate mummy
Jane you are an amazing, calm, human being that obviously loves cats. Your cattery has been built and developed around the needs of your guests...(ie: our cats) in a wonderful rural home setting. I would not hesitate to bring my Eva back to you for a vocational stay as I know she will be looked after by a caring devoted surrogate mummy.

Absolutely fantastic
I wouldn’t book a holiday unless I could be sure my 2 fur babies were booked in here , Jane is absolutely amazing, an you can see her love off cats 🐈‍⬛, the “rooms” as you can’t call them Cattery runs are outstanding, you actually have to see it too believe it , my niece actually thought it was OUR Holiday home , Jane and her husband go above and beyond to meet your Cats every need , what amazes me is that Jane knows everything about all the cats she has in her care , as I said, I would rather not go on holiday if I couldn’t get my cats in here , it’s a 10/10

Highly recommended
Having had several cats over many years, we know how stressful it can be find a suitable place for your feline little treasure when you go away.
Our latest member of the family was a 7 month old, very energetic, inquisitive and quite demanding Snow Bengal.
Having looked at the extremely clean, very comfortable accommodation set in beautiful, extensive gardens, we had no doubts about leaving him in the capable hands of Jane. She is so obviously devoted to cats and goes out of her way to make both them and their absent owners at ease.
We would have no hesitation returning to Woodland Nook and confident that we would be totally relaxed in the knowledge that ‘Bailey’ would be completely cared for.

The very best for cats and worried cat parents!
Our cat has just spent a week here and we were absolutely overwhelmed by the standard of accommodation, food available and the general knowledge of and love for cats Jane has! Our cat had never been away from us until this week and we won't hesitate to leave her here again. We received regular updates via Facebook and Jane made every effort to reassure us and our cat.

My cats had just as good a holiday as I did!
Spider and Gizmo have just come home after a week staying with “Aunty Jane”. They have had an amazing time. She sent photos and updates every day and I felt totally confident that they would be cared for. Jane took time to listen to what Spider and Gizmo like and respond to and provided everything to make them feel at home. I can’t recommend Jane’s cattery highly enough - in fact, it’s more like a hotel for them.

Max has just had his third visit to Woodland Nook and I have just booked several more - this is a superb Cattery with the highest standard of care and facilities, but what is more significant is the level of knowledge and “reading” of Max’s needs and the provision of love and affection - always done on Max’s terms of course! Jane communicates every few days with photographs of our boy lounging, eating, being cuddled by Jane or her husband, being groomed and nurtured - he comes home with very high expectations!. I would not send him anywhere else and he would refuse to go! Where else would he be offered a buffet breakfast!! Thank you Jane!!

Amazing 5* cattery
What an amazing cattery and owner!
I was really anxious to leave my cat, Izzy, due to her having a previous bad experience at another cattery. Izzy is also quite a timid cat and so this just increased my worry.
However, I couldn’t have asked for a better person than Jayne to look after her. She spent time with Izzy and worked her amazing magic on her! The cattery is beautiful and Izzy’s room was so lovely and pristine.
Jayne sent regular updates and photos and I felt so happy knowing that Izzy was truly having a 5* stay. I would recommend without hesitation and will definitely be booking Izzy in again when I next go on holiday.

Amazing!
Wow! Fantastic cattery! 5 star accommodation for the cats makes this cattery home from home. Jane is brilliant and gives a truly personalised service. She sent us regular updates with photos every couple of days which really reassured us our cat couldn’t be in a better place. Lovely rooms, great food including a ‘specials menu’! Billy Cat
Jane runs this first class cattery with love, our old boy Billy, recently stayed here and he couldn't have been better looked after, from his daily mixed diet, medication and home comforts - all were brilliant, even cat steps were there in case Billy had trouble jumping up onto the comfy bed! His room looked out onto the peaceful garden, and we left him there in complete confidence. Jane sent regular pictures and updates, and we would definitely use Jane in the future and have no hesitation in recommending Woodland Nook, Jane looks after the cats like her own, and Billy definitely enjoyed his holiday too!

Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant cattery. First time leaving our cat in one and this was perfect for settling our anxiety and making our cat happy and relaxed for the 2 weeks she was there. Wonderful set up, alot of care taken over each individual cat and regular updates on how ours was getting on. Faultless all round, will definitely be using this one in future.

My two ragdoll cats went to Woodland Nook Cattery recently for the first time for a few days. Jane who runs the cattery is a really nice lady and you can tell she loves all cats very much and treats each one like her own.My two have enjoyed staying there very much and Jane has looked after them so well.She has sent me pictures of them each day so I can see what they are doing and if they are happy and I felt very assured that they were.I can't thank Jane enough for looking after them so well.Thankyou so much xx

Yet again my four cats spent Christmas with Auntie Jane.
They could not be better cared for anywhere.
The accomodation is first class and I have total peace of mind while they are there.

Stunning Cattery
This was the first time for my baby Kiki staying at Woodland Nook, but I'm sure it won't be the last! I had done some research for local catteries & the reviews were glowing. When I arrived with Kiki I was not disappointed! This is a beautiful sanctuary for much loved felines. Each room is kitted out beautifully with a personal heater, a real bed with duvets, pillows & cuddly toys! Not to mention Kiki had her own television! The room was pristine with separate areas for food and litter & a spacious outdoor area so she could stretch her legs! Jane was very thorough & clearly very knowledgeable on all things cats. She paid attention to detail & makes sure she is fully aware of dietary & health requirements. I really can't praise the level of care enough & upon my return I could see Kiki was very comfortable around her. I even got regular photos to ease my mind that she had settled in well. Thank you so much for looking after Kiki. She will be back soon for another little holiday!

Beautiful and caring environment
Our first time here and first time leaving our little boy. This place is amazing and beautiful. 5 star all the way. Cats are given stunning rooms with real beds, a tv, heaters and outside space and are cared for extremely well by Jayne and her staff. We collected him today and he looks really well and no signs of stress or anxiety and very relaxed. If I was a cat I’d happily stay at Woodland. Also Jayne provided daily photos which our girls loved receiving of him playing or exploring.

Not your average cattery
This was the first time I had left my Oriental cat Luna in a cattery. I was a bit worried about leaving her as she is quite highly strung and nervous around new people. However, the cattery is lovely and homely with the rooms set up to be like bedrooms rather than cages, and Jane was very good with her, so I felt happy to leave knowing she was in good hands.
While we were away we had photo updates and I could see she was settled.
I would have no hesitation about taking Luna to Woodland Nook again, and will be booking her in for next year.

Our Cat's New Second Home
As first time users of a cattery we were naturally concerned and quite particular in our requirements. Woodland Nook stood out for many reasons mainly:

1. Jane the owner offered COVID safe tours of the whole property.
2. The accommodation was literally second to none in terms of quality, space and comfort.

We knew after our tour that we'd made the right choice - Jane is the most warm and friendly person and her expertise in cat care is limitless.

Bear had the most adorable room to spend just over a week in, with all the comforts you could expect for a 5 star hotel room for people never mind cats (including a full size human bed and a daily buffet of gourmet food!). We received constant updates and photos on Whatsapp of his experience whilst we were away and it was clear that he had found his second home. He loved Auntie Jane; as do we.

You must see the place for yourself if you are looking for cat boarding. We would recommend without hesitation - Jane you're the best xx

The best cattery there is.
You cannot write a review but only an eulogy about Woodnook Cattery. This must be the best Cattery in the UK. The setting is delightfully peaceful and secluded for the cats. They have their own individual ("Hilton hotel") room/bedroom, patio and decking terrace protected by thoughtful flyscreen mesh. The rooms are spotless and kept at a comfortble temperature. This was the first time staying away for our young cat 'Mabel' and although she is a little timid at first, Jane won her round very quickly. We were reassured about Mabel from Jane's photographs sent on WhatsApp. Jane is a first class cattery provider, warm, with a lovely sense of humour. It's abundantly clear how much she loves the cats she cares for (and owns) and is very knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong boarding your cat with Jane.

Home from home with extra care and attention.
The ultimate cat pad. Unbelievably warm welcome for cats and owners. Full stay explained in detail to ease any anxiety about leaving our fur baby. We had seen the pictures of the posh pads, but they can never show the attention to detail that is given to the care of each of the cats in their care. From special treats (roast chicken) to cozy fur snuggling blankets and water bottles and heat pads. Lots of cuddles and individual playtime. Photo and videos of our little furball's holiday adventures. He had better accommodation than we did. We couldn't thank Jane enough for the excellent service. We have already booked for our next week away knowing that our cat will be just as happy as we are to be going on his holidays to Auntie Jane and Uncle Paul's.

Jane has looked after my cats on numerous occasions.... they are looked after with love and affection. A genuine cat lover! On leaving my Milo this week (a rescue cat) he settled immediately and Jane treated him as she would her own. Home from home for much loved pets. No stress at all when I picked him up... or when I arrived home. Brilliant!!!

Purrfect place!
First class service from a first class cattery. A home from home for our cats. It's obvious that the owners have a devotion to kitties second to none. We had never used this cattery before and with two cats who don't always see eye to eye we had a few reservations. We needn't have worried! After a wonderful tour of the facilities we knew they'd be in experienced hands. We received numerous photographs of our cats throughout our holiday and it was delightful to see how well they were getting on and how much attention they were getting. Were knew they were being truly cared for, not just 'minded'. It made all the difference. I can't recommend this place enough. Such lovely people in beautiful surroundings. Five stars for sure.

We left our kitten with Jane for her first visit at Woodland Nook. We were a little apprehensive about leaving her but Jane took exceptional care of her and put us at ease too. Nothing was too much trouble, she gave our kitten lots of additional attention during the day, provided her with a range of toys to keep her entertained and sent us daily updates about how she was getting on. I wouldn’t leave our kitten anywhere else.

Fantastic cattery! Now where better.
This is an excellent cattery. We wouldn’t send our boy anywhere else. Jane understands cats and the care they receive is exceptional. We’ve sent our cat there lots of times and it’s so reassuring to know that he is having a good holiday too while we’re away. We get regular updates and photos of him having a good time. As soon as we arrive he comes out of his carrier and goes to Jane for a fuss. He always enjoys another fuss before coming home. That just says it all to us. To us it’s worth every penny. He’s very happy when he gets home too. Jane and her husband give a fantastic service. The lodges are very luxurious and everything a cat could desire has been thought of. We’d stay there ourselves if we could. We’d highly recommend this cattery.

Clydes review of Woodland Nook

Fantastic and relaxing home from home for your cats.
Just picked up my 2 girls after their 2 week holiday at Woodland Nook. Having had a negative experience at a previous Cattery I was anxious to find the the right place for them & Jane was recommended by a work colleague. The experience at Woodland Nook is above and beyond anything that could be expected. Jane really knows cats and she tries to create a home from home environment for cats in her care. She also understands Cat moms and dads, how anxious Cat parents can be about leaving their babies in a strange place. There are no pens at Woodland Nook. All the rooms are fabulously furnished bedrooms with a private outdoor area. My girls stayed in The Lodge, a huge room with conservatory and outdoor patio. Jane kept in regular contact and sent lots of lovely photos. I also liked that she took her time at the beginning to learn all about my cats, making lots of notes about their personality, diet and preferences. I never felt rushed at any time. Woodland Nook is amazing. Highly recommend.

Amazing Cattery
I was so nervous leaving my baby for the first time, but there was nothing to worry about. Jane was brilliant, if anything Milo has come back more confident. My kitten is very shy and would usually hide away when anyone comes in the house. When I picked him up from Janes he was on her lap and given her cuddles. He was very content and happy.

Jane takes the time to take you round her amazing cattery and puts you at ease when you are away with re-assuring messages and pictures so you know your baby is happy and safe. I will never go anywhere else.

AMAZING!!
I was searching for a long time to find the perfect cattery for my babies, I came across woodland nook and I fell in love! This is exactly where you would want your cats to stay, they was looked after the way they are at home, spoilt, warm, loved I could go on! I got messages daily including pictures of my little ones which made me so comfortable knowing they are happy and loved. I even got to have a camera in their room so I can check on them whenever and wherever I was. I HIGHLY recommend Jane & her husband, they are the most loving people, I could happily stop here myself with my babies (If it was allowed)😂 as it’s that beautiful and welcoming! So much work and thought has gone into the cattery & the rescue and i can’t believe how much of an amazing job they have done to make everything so beautiful.
I have already booked our babies next little holiday here. AGAIN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!💕💕💕

Woodland Nook Cattery is no ordinary cattery, it is a 5-star retreat for pussycats. My two little girls really enjoyed their time with Jane and the team. While I was on holiday, they were on holiday. Flossie and Janey enjoyed a room together complete with their own bed, TV and catio. Their first stay away from home, Jane also reassured us with updates of how they were getting along. Any future holidays we take, we will be booking our girls back into Woodland Nook Cattery for their holiday too. They were treat like two little princesses.

The best luxury cat hotel in the world - EVER
A TRULY magical experience for my little boy’s first time in a boarding cattery 🐾💕 Honestly, this luxurious cat “hotel” is like something from a fairytale story... you won’t believe your eyes! These individual log cabin rooms for the kitties, with their own human bed to sleep on, tv, toys, own radiator, and little personal “catio” to sit outside in... I am lost for words. My little boy was looked after so so well by you and now I now know I can go away and leave him with you overnight where is he treated like royalty. Lovely kitty cattery / retreat
Absolutely wonderful Cattery. I found Woodland nook from searching locally and the reviews made me see that Woodland nook was the right choice. The owners Jane and her husband are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and wonderful, kitted out with TV's and little beds. A lovely retreat that even a human would love 🤣
We will definitely use this cattery again and highly recommend.

The Best Holiday Hotel for Cats EVER!
Lily stayed with Aunty Jane for the second time in October. It was so much easier leaving her this time as I knew she was in the best hands and that she would have the greatest care. Jane sent messages and photos regularly and I could see how much Lily loved her. In fact, we struggled to get her to come home! I was able to enjoy my holiday without worrying if Lily was ok. If you still have any doubts about Woodland Nook after reading all the 5* reviews, you really should go and have a look for yourself. I never want to leave Lily anywhere else. It is a fabulous place!

Excellent stay for our little 'Missy'. A friend recomended Woodlank Nook and what an amazing place this is. The rooms are beautiful and clean with their own t.v and big bed so they feel at home. There are doors leading to a private outside area which Missy can overlook the garden and the sounds of the water feature and take in the beautiful surroundings. My daughters loved getting the photos sent during Missys stay. You can see how happy your little one is and it helps knowing Missy was having a lovely holiday of her own. Jane has excellent cat knowledge and is so helpful and is so kind and caring. We have booked short stays and recently had a two week stay. Missy loved it and we will definitely book again for our next holiday. My daughters love dropping Missy off and going to pick her up as they get to see the beautiful place Missy gets to stay in. It really is an amazing place. What a puurrrfect place!

A stunningly beautiful place for your cat that truly couldn't be beaten; it is luxury 5* that you would love to stay at, never mind your cat! You know your cat will be loved, fed and looked after all the time you're away. Comfortable bed, tv and outside verandas are only half of the experience they'll receive.

Fantastic Cattery with a dedicated and caring proprietor.
Our two have stayed a couple of times now and I have to say that Jane provides them with a real home from home. It’s a lovely place with several resident cats who are so chilled out and relaxed which just shows what a great environment Jane has created. The accommodation is top notch with comfy beds and plenty of space for exercise, even a tv! Our cats are always relaxed and happy when they return which shows just how well they’ve been looked after.

Special diets are no problem and treats are included! Jane takes great care to ensure guests have their dietary requirements fully met.

We have no hesitation in highly recommending Woodland Nook, just make sure you book in good time as their well earned reputation means that they are very busy.

The best cattery you will ever find
My two cats have just had a weeks holiday at Woodland Nook and I couldn't be happier with the comfort and care they received from Jane. You will not find a better cattery than Woodland Nook as it is literally like home from home for your fur babies complete with bed and TV in their room giving it a relaxed, homely feel. You can also take your pick off of the 'treat of the day' board for your kitties to enjoy including tuna, spit roast chicken, silverside beef and other yummy delicacies. You can tell this isn't just a job to Jane, it is her passion and she will treat your cat/s as her own. Jane sent us pictures and updates throughout the week which put our minds at ease that our babies were ok. They both came home very happy and relaxed. We have already booked again for next year along with my parent's cats and have recommended it to family and friends. Thank you so much Jane, you are amazing and your cattery is out of this world!

Fantastic cattery, you will never need to look for a cattery again !
When our normal cattery couldn't get my 5 beautiful boys in for our recent holiday I went into panic, and so I had to start the hunt for a new cattery. After visiting many cattery I had almost lost hope and then I visited Jane n Paul's cattery. I couldn't believe to standard of the rooms it was like a 5 star lodge resort. Jane has so much care to give and she truly looks after your cats as if they where her own. She fully understood how much of a crazy cat lady I was and reassured me that they would have a fantastic time too. She kept us updated regularly with pictures of them playing and having a great time. When we came back it was incredibly moving to see the bond they had made with our boys. Being a veterinary nurse I am always looking for high standards and I wasnt disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble she even went out to buy a hot water bottle for my baby spynx incase he was cold. I will never use another cattery, this is a purrfect place for my babies to have a holiday too

Amazing, brilliant, couldn’t be happier
Our boy (cat) is 11 and 1/2 years old, been to the same Cattery for the last 10years, then being told they were closing scared us as we thought they were brilliant and wouldn’t find another one like it. Then we met Auntie Jane and Uncle Paul! From Hello we knew he will be happy and we will love it! He visited them in his holiday and it’s a home away from home! His got his own room, bed, tv and all his spoiled needs met. We get regular photos updates, our minds put to rest. His actually never been this happy and well looked after ever!!!! We couldn’t be happier and to be honest wish we found them from day one! I can’t recommend Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery enough! Any scared “mummy and daddy” be rest assured your baby will be looked after just like you would!!!! Thank you Jane and Paul! XX

Excellent cattery
After searching and going to view a few catteries because I couldn’t get my cat in her normal one i came across this one which i left a message for someone to contact me. Jane kindly rang me i said she had 1 pen left, I couldn’t believe my luck I straight away went to view. I got there and it is amazing i was amazed by how spacious it was even had a proper bed. It also had a veranda area and you can even have the webcam option.

Would definitely recommend, thank you so much for looking after my furr baby Jane she had a lovely time. Five stars and more from me and Millie.

Outstanding - this must be the best cattery in the country.
This must be the best cattery in the country - it’s more than five stars. The accommodation is really spacious and is furnished to the highest standard. The care that Jane gives is outstanding, she adores cats. My two cats stayed for a week at Woodland Nook and I could see them from the web cams that are installed. They settled straight away and had a great time, I could see that they were very content during their stay. I would recommend Jane and Woodland Nook without any reservation- I wouldn’t consider using anywhere else. It really is outstanding in every way.

The pur-fect holiday home for your cat!
My two cats were lucky enough to be fitted in for a 2 week stay here. Jane has thought of every creature comfort for your cat and many human comforts too! Each large room, is a home from home. They are made to resemble a bedroom with comfy beds, tv's radio and enclosed outside space, with beautiful gardens to gaze at.There is even a treat list to rival a hotel to spoil your cat while you're away.
One of my cats is very nervy and hasn't been in a cattery for years because of this, but she soon settled in with Jane's care and attention. I couldn't think of a better place, run by a more caring person for your cat.

My 2 Bengals recently stayed at Woodland Nook for 8 days and when I picked them up I knew I had nothing to worry about! They clearly had been extremely well looked after and were so content. I was initially nervous about their first cattery stay but Jane put my worries at ease straight away. Her regular updates kept me reassured to see that they were perfectly happy. I really appreciate the care that Jane gave to my 2 for babies and when we next go away I will be booking a room at Woodland Nook straight away!

The purrfect cattery
Just collected my girls from the most amazing cattery run by the most dedicated, kind ,lovely lady who my cats adore. They always look so well, calm and cared for when I collect them.

Each time they stay I can't imagine how this cattery can be more perfect than it already is but it just gets better and better. Jane is constantly planning, updating and introducing even more cat comforts.

I always book Woodland Nook before I book the holiday!!

Jane has been looking after my fur babies for the last 14 years. She has so much knowledge from her 25+ years of caring for cats that I know if I need advice she will have the answer or different options for me to try.

If you want peace of mind whilst you enjoy your holiday look no further Woodland Nook Cattery really is the best.

Amazing lady Jane
Our three fur babies have been with Jane for nearly two weeks and she proved how dedicated and brilliant she is when our eldest got ill she gave us a ring and when we couldn't get anybody to take him to the vets she kindly offered. She took him to her vets on the same day and they were able to diagnose what was wrong with him and Jane started him on his medication straight away.

I can't recommend highly enough taking your cat/s to Jane to look after she does a fantastic job and each room is so well thought of in the best interests of the cat.

Lily and Evie’s home from home
Just got our two ladies home from Woodland Nook Cattery Swanwick
They are British shorthairs and can be hard work at times, but we have no problem leaving them with Jane from Woodland Nook, as we know they are loved, and cuddled, groomed and everything is done for them as we would do.
Would never take them anywhere else, and can’t recommend enough

Woodland nook boarding cattery
I am writing this, but don't really want to in case whenever my 2 babies want to stay, there will not be any room!....Anyway, forget all the rest of so called catteries. This is a holiday for them. No cage, no cat flaps, no death defying thin pieces of wood to crawl up and down. Tele, patio, bed, heaters, aswell as loads of room for them. This is the only place you should be taking your baby to if you care about them whilst you are away. .....but don't tell everyone please.😽😽.

Outstanding cattery always goes above and beyond.
Just got back from a 2 week holiday having used Jane and woodland nook again for our beloved 19 year Siamese our gorgeous boy.. he can be very high maintenance being Siamese and 19 years old. We have nick named Jane our Buzz Light Year.... As she always goes above and beyond she is a wonderful caring lady... Treats every cat as if it were her own.. You couldn’t ask for better... I really can’t recommend Jane and woodland nook highly enough... you would have no worries she is a marvellous lady.

fabulous cattery
This was the first time we have left Molly at the cattery as our cat sitters have flown the nest, We need not have worried about her as she was completely well looked after. The rooms are amazing as is the setting. Jane is very calm and I was impressed by the comfortable and clean rooms you could stop there yourself. We felt Molly was 100% looked after and wouldn't hesitate recommending this cattery

Wonderful Cat Hotel
I had only used a cattery once before. The people were lovely but the accommodation was so different to what my cat was used to. When we picked her up it reduced me to tears. She was so timid and wary and I vowed never to leave her again. Then my son moved abroad. What was I to do? I scoured the Internet looking for places. By divine luck I found Woodland Nook. I thought it too good to be true and arranged to visit. It truly is a wonderful place and in a beautiful setting. Jane is such a lovely, calm and reassuring lady. She spent time with me to ensure I was happy leaving my cat and she allowed me to fill the room with paraphernalia from home to ensure the least stress possible for my cat. I was able to watch my cat via a web cam from which I could see that she was treated with great respect and kindness. I received photos and updates throughout my time away and I know my cat really enjoyed her holiday there. I have no hesitation in recommending Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery.

Woodland nook cattery
I can’t recommend this cattery enough. We were nervous leaving our cat there as he’d never been away from home before but Jane was lovely with him and settled him in well. He was in a lovely lodge with his own TV, full size bed, toys and even a little upstairs bit. My husband wanted to stay due to it being spacious and everything a cat could want or need as well as a human. She really has thought about everything. We received photos and messages from Jane reassuring us Buzz was well. When we collected him he was very happy and went up to Jane for a fuss before leaving. That said it all! When we got him home he was his usual happy self. Jane obviously adores all cats and this was certainly evident. We’re definitely using this cattery again and would highly recommend to others.

Amazing cattery!
Beautiful wonderful cattery! The log cabins are so luxurious I would happily stay there for my holidays! Photos of your cats are regularly sent and the webcam is a great idea, we watched our 2 cats every day on holiday which gives you great peace of mind. Food and cleanliness are to the highest standard and Jane is an absolute star who clearly adores all her guests. I wish I could give 10 stars! Absolutely recommend and thank you again Jane for taking such wonderful care of our boys.

BEST CATTERY IN DERBYSHIRE!!!
I met Jane around 8 years ago when I started taking my Ragdoll to Top Cat Cattery. (which was amazing!)...Anya had her 1st holiday at Woodland Nook December 2018 and OMG!! Jane and her husband have did an amazing job building it from scratch. The cats stay in stunning lodges set in peaceful woodlands with a lovely little stream. The lodges themselves are so beautiful, cute, warm, cozy with actual beds, TV, catio and a WEBCAM!! It was so lovely being able to log on and see our girl!! (I always feel guilty about leaving her but being able to see her was fantastic and I could tell she was enjoying her surroundings!)

Without a doubt THE BEST CATTERY in Derbyshire! - Jane is such a lovely kind and caring lady who takes such good care of all her little visitors.

Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery is an excellent place to board your feline fur baby.
We have just boarded our 6 year old cat Sparky for the first time with Jane at Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery, on recommendation from a friend. Well, what a stunning setting and the log cabins are beautifully made and very cozy, also incorporating an outside space. Jane is such a lovely person who makes time to devote to her visitors to ensure they are happy and content. He definitely has been well looked after here. We really enjoyed getting regular messages from him and Jane whilst we were away. Sparky really enjoyed his time there and he will definitely be going for his holidays there again.

The best cattery / cat hotel ever! X
Absolutely fantastic, Jane is just amazing. From the first meeting until the very end. We had photos and videos daily of our little boy. Complete piece of mind. He was very well looked after, the log cabin he stayed In also had a cattio! More room than some human hotels!
He was fed the same food as at home but also special treats like spit roast fresh chicken and beef. He was completely spoilt.
We will definitely be bringing our little boy back for a holiday in the future.
Thanks again to Jane for keeping mummy and daddy up to date throughout our holiday.

Home from Home for your cat
Fabulous place, run by Jane who sees it as a lifestyle and not a job. Coco had her own room with a single bed and a secure outdoor space with a chair and cosy blanket. She had lots of treats such as tuna and beef as well as her normal food. Jane sent me photos and updates which was reassuring. I got such a lovely fuss off Coco when I picked her up, she seemed really happy and settled straight back into her normal home routine.
It’s never easy leaving your pet in a cattery but this is as good as it gets.

AMAZING!!!!!!
We wouldn't leave our precious little girl anywhere else. "Auntie" Jane (as she is now known :-) ) has looked after our cat for a few years now, the accommodation and Jane's love and attention to detail is outstanding and second to none.
Jane even sends photos of our little girl so we can see how happy and chilled she is.
We won't book our holiday until we have secured a booking at Woodland Nook.
The place itself is amazing - I'd happily stay there myself!! Each cabin is spacious, immaculately clean, totally safe (double locked (double-glazed) doors in each section - which Jane diligently insists one door isn't opened until the other is closed AND locked) and has a made bed and television, total home from home.
Jane herself is 100% dedicated to all the cats, she is such a lovely lady.
We cannot recommend Woodland Nook enough and would give loads more stars if we could.

Woodland Nook Cattery/Hotel
This is the second time our cat has spent time with Jane and her staff at Woodland Nook. Their dedication to their work is evident from the moment you arrive. The "private lodges" are spacious, well equiped, heated and provide as much comfort for your precious cat as they will need. You can of course also take your own items to help your cat settle and feel at home. The lodges are set in large mature private garden providing views to keep your cat interested.

Jane is devoted to cats and her work and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cattery.

Amazing Cattery
We used Woodland Nook after glowing reviews from a friend. She was absolutely right!
Jayne looks after your cats every need and houses them in one of an amazing set of lodges. Every care is taken to ensure the cats are looked after how you want them to be, including meal choice, treats and even what TV channel to keep them company.

Jayne even sends you pictures of your cat while your are on holiday to ensure you can relax and enjoy your time safe in the knowledge they are having as good a time as you are!

Very highly recommended.

What an amazing catery, I could have booked myself in! It is immaculate. The attention to detail in the rooms are second to none and the cat food menu endless. Exceptional in every way
The welcome, exceptional rooms, facilities and genuine love and care Jane gives our cats mean that we would never consider using anywhere else. Infact, we always check availability before booking our holidays. The cats' holiday comes first! Recently, our 2 young cats stayed with her for 16 days, their longest period yet. One of our cats is very nervous and I was worried how he would be being away from home for so long. During our holiday, it was very reassuring to receive regular pictures and updates and see both cats were having a lovely time. When we went to pick them up, both cats looked great, happy and relaxed. They settled really quickly at home and our nervous cat actually seems more confident!

Exceptional care and peace of mind
Jane has looked after our family cats for many years and we know her care and accommodation are truly exceptional. We wouldn’t leave them anywhere else. However, on our young cat’s second visit of the summer to Woodland Nook, we have had even further proof and experience of just how fortunate we are to have have such a superb Cattery on our doorstep and to have such a knowledgeable, vigilant and compassionate owner in Jane.
Just days before we left for France, our little boy sustained an injury needing 3 lots of meds and he was definitely not himself Despite this, I had absolutely no hestitation in asking Jane to look after him as planned and knew we could go away with total peace of mind that he would be in the very best of hands- and of course, he was! Jane kept us fully informed of his progress via photos, videos and messages, arranged a follow up visit to our vets and was able to advise on how to continue his treatment once back home. Outstanding care for cats
My two cats have had a few stays with aunty Jane whilst we have been away on holiday. You are instantly made to feel welcome and your cat/s too. Best cattery in the country!
We cannot rate this cattery highly enough. Our two boys are ex ferals, extremely nervous and have never been left before, so much so that we haven't had a holiday in 10 years! We found Woodland Nook through a web search and decided to try them due to all 5* reviews and webcam facilities and we couldn't be happier that we did. Jane is first rate, she sent photos and updates throughout their stay, and spent time with them, getting them to feel comfortable and relaxed. She really is a natural cat lady and instinctively knows what they need and require. She was incredibly accommodating to our nervousness and gave us as much time as we needed to get them settled and say goodbye. Just look at the website pictures to appreciate the settings and grounds of the cattery. The rooms are better than most hotels! It is calm, peaceful and has a lovely vibe. We drove 45 minutes to reach Woodland Nook and have no regrets. We firmly believe this is the best cattery in the country.

Outstanding care for our Cats and excellent accommodation.
We had the pleasure of booking our 3cats into the Woodland Nook again this year . We had no hesitation in booking and were assured of excellent service from the owner Jane who’s relentless attention to detail in ensuring the welfare and comfort for your cat is second to none. Again our 3 rascals were looked after impeccably , we were treated to updates whilst away providing peace of mind .

Kitten’s home from home
Our two kittens have just had a brilliant stay with Jane. The lodges are just like a home from home, with comfy bed, tv, outside decking area and webcam so we could drop in to see our kitties whenever we liked. We received regular whatsapp photos also. Home from home
Woodland Nook is an amazing place!

This was our cats first experience of staying in a boarding cattery. Clover is a rescue cat and so we were unsure how she would settle. She had a trial day and afterwards Jane suggestions on how to make her next stay more relaxed; which worked a treat.

A week later Clover went for her stay and Jane kindly provided a room to suit her needs. During the week Jane sent photos and updates and by the end Jane was amazed at how much progress she had made. We would certainly book Clover for a stay again.

Jane is so kind, caring and goes above and beyond to provide for the needs of each individual cat.

Tilleys holiday
We took tilley to Jane's for three nights what can I say other than outstanding. Tilley had her own room with a bed and a conservatory . Fabulous location and first class care
This is the third time we have used the Cattery and I certainly won't use anywhere else. We travel more than 30 miles each way to use Woodland Nook as it is the best place to leave our precious cat. The care and attention is first class and each cat is made to feel comfortable and safe. The facilities and location are 5 star 🌟 worthy. Tranquil setting. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The best Cattery by far. If l could give Woodland Nook & Jane 10 stars l would.
My Princess Tootsi Tinkerbell went to stay with Jane for a week at Woodland Nook. She had been in a cattery before but not for a while. I was so nervous leaving her, she's such a delicate soul, loves her human family, but very wary of strangers.
We dropped her off & l could tell straight away that Jane & Tootsi was going to be the best of friends. The "room" Toots was in was amazing, her own little bed, tv, outside run where she can look out over fields.
Regular pictures of Tootsi why we were away (from Jane) relaxed me so much, to know she was fine & had settled in made my holiday better. We went to pick Tootsi up & she had done the, let me hide under the quilt trick so no one finds me. She wa purring away so happy & content & l know her holiday to Woodland nook had been an amazing time for her.
Jane (owner of woodland nook) is a very special lady, she is so gentle, calming & caring with our babies, she treats them like they are her own. My Tootsi as found a new friend in Jane

5*catisfaction!
We have just collected a very happy and contented cat from another visit to Woodland Nook. We are so lucky to have such an excellent bespoke Cattery in our village and to have someone as caring and loving as Jane to look after our little boy.
He has had a lovely spacious room with an airy outside run where he can watch the birds in the trees in welcome shade.
There is the addition of aircon for these hot days and heating for the cooler months so what with his tv and own cat divan, I think he has been in the lap of luxury!

The best cattery ever!
When I first heard about the cattery through a family member I knew that I had to try it for my little tabby. Jane, the lady who runs the cattery, treats every cat like her own.

Instead of locking them up in a small cage like other catteries your cat gets to have a large room to itself with a big bed and space to run around. Jane is very thorough about what food and treats they like and does everything she can to make your cat feel at home. You can even add her on Facebook and get regular updates to put your mind at ease! But you should not need to worry when your cat is in the hands of Jane and her cattery :)

Such a wonderful cattery with beautiful surroundings and such a lovely group of people. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants their cat/cats to be treated like they are at home with lots of love and care :)

Absolutely amazing with the most kind, loving person I have ever met. Just fabulous
Well I just don't know where to start. This place just blew me away it's set in the most beautiful grounds with happy babies in the most wonderful homes all handmade by Janes dedicated husband. The homes are amazing giving your babies a first class loving environment and being cared for by the most loving dedicated person I have ever met Jane is a fabulous caring loving mummy for all your babies. The rooms are just out this world with their very own beds, kitchens, televisions, toys with homemade craddles if your baby likes to be a little higher. The rooms all have spectacular views wether your baby is an indoor or outdoor baby they are all secured in this fabulous environment with more love than you'll ever no. My baby is an indoor baby and is a little shy and not used to outside noises her home for the past 2 weeks has been amazing my baby took to Jane and her home straight away feeling much love and safe. Massive thank you Jane for being you xxxxx

Purrfectly lovely
If you want your cat(s) to be in a cattery that's as close as possible to being at home then Woodland Nook is the place to come. "Watching" TV whilst lounging on a real bed (or one of the many cat beds!) in a big room with a window to the outside world, all and any food needs catered for, and a gentle hand for fuss and cuddles. Halle came home very chilled out indeed.

Home Service is 5 star!
I cannot say enough good things about Woodland Nook - we have quite a nervous house cat so whilst the boarding Cattery is absolutely lovely, we’ve opted for the home service on a number of occasions. Michelle who provides the service is fantastic - our cat is well looked after, and fussed lots whilst she’s there, plus our house is looked after too when we are away, as Michelle opens and closes curtains when visiting twice a day. She also kindly hoovered for us when wye were away for a week (definitely not expected but absolutely lovely just the same!). We wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

Outstanding!
What a fantastic place this is! Both my partner and I were blown away when viewing this place. The cabins are gorgeous, spacious, clean and most of all SAFE!

Jane herself was an absolute pleasure to deal with. You can tell she loves all the cats that go to her and she treats them with so much love as if they were her own.

Overall Percy loved his stay and refused to get into his crate upon collection which is always a good sign!

We will definitely be using Jane again.

Our two cats Finn & Ollie have just come back from this fantastic place .The care they have received is second to none ,lots of fuss & choice of treats given everyday .I couldn’t believe the rooms when we visited it’s like no cattery I’ve ever seen before ,log cabins ,the lodge etc they actually have a real bed & the size of the rooms is unbelievable it's a fantastic place to leave your furr babies .The lovely Jane has sent photographs to us & messages all holiday & I can honestly say I’ve not worried one bit about them .This lovely lady is definetely a cat lover & treats them like her own ,I won’t take my two anywhere else now i have discovered this place .I can’t recommend enough 😊😊

Home from home!!
It’s the first time my bengals have ever been anywhere other than home so I was a little worried about leaving them. After getting my updates from Jayne in the first couple

Pusscat Paradise.
Thank you Jane! Josh had a wonderful holiday here and not for the first time. It was comforting for us to receive your messages and photos of Josh via Messenger, to see he was happy and well cared for helped us enjoy our holiday too. Thank you for spending time with him, brushing him, keeping him company, ensuring he ate his renal food and had plenty of water. He loves company and cuddles and judging by your photos he didn't miss out there.
From his little double bed in his log cabin, to the flat screen TV on the wall, to the little meshed open window so he could see and smell the trees and the birds outside, I would say he was very happy as were we! Thank you very much and see you next time.

Outstanding cattery!
Having a sphynx cat, I was very concerned about finding the right place for her due to the amount of care and attention and warmth she needs.
When I first found woodland nook, Jane was happy to walk me round every part of it and explain how they operate. Jane is so lovely and so attentive and certainly knows a lot about cats and their behaviour. I was instantly put at ease and didn't feel like I was putting her out by asking a million and 1 questions.
Jane catered to cleo's every need and more! I would say she went above and beyond and sent me lots of photos and video updates. I had the added bonus of being able to log in on line and see my cat 24hrs a day which was very reassuring.
I would 100% recommend this place. Great for people nervous about leaving their cats.
I wouldn't hesitate in taking her back if i go away again. It's a lovely place, lovely people and most importantly my cat really seemed to enjoy being there.
Thanks ever so much Jane, we are very happy customers.

This Cattery is just the best out there. The attention to detail with every individual Cat is amazing. Jane treats all the Cats like her own and spends so much time with them. The rooms consist of a individual Log Cabin with double bed. Flat screen tv on the wall and loads of toys. I cant recommend this Cattery highly enough. 5 star plus

First Class fot Cats
Without a doubt the best cattery I have come across. It's warm and luxurious but the most important for me is the care. First class and personal to your cat/s. All my cats are rescues and wouldn't leave them anywhere else. The cleanliness too is of the highest standard

Christmas Stay
After being really anxious to leave my indoor cat over Christmas, after dropping him off with Jane I knew he would be absolutely fine. The level of care and attention was fantastic and he will was spoilt over his 2 week holiday at Woodland Nook! Having the option to have the camera in the room was a real comfort and put my mind at ease completely. We’ve already booked him in for his second visit this year! Thank you Jane.

Puurfect Cattery
I first visited Woodland Nook Cattery after I found out that Topcat and Tails cattery run by Jane had re-located and re-named. It was further away from my home so I decided to pay a visit, and what a treat! This place is amazing and spent an hour and a half chatting with Jane who also spent time out of her busy schedule showing me around! I loved every bit of it. The cabins were all perfect, clean and well kept. My cat, who has never stayed in a cattery before, loved it and came back home completely stress free. She was loved and pampered several times a day as well as being treated to roast chicken each day. Would highly recommend Woodland Nook to anybody and will Not take my cat anywhere else! You’re a treasure Jane doing all this for our pets!!!

Superb luxury cattery (holiday home)
Our two beautiful Bengals have just spent the last week holidaying at Woodlandnook with Jane.

It was the first time we have used a cattery and understandably were slightly apprehensive when we began our search for local businesses in the area. Jane immediately put us at ease touring us around her wonderful hideaway holiday homes for cats - we were astonished at the high standards and immediately confirmed a booking.

Our babies have spent the past week in The Lodge fully kitted out with a double bed, blankets, heaters, flat screen TV and out door run with climbing frame/scratch post. Jane provided us with photos and updates through FB throughout our holiday. They have returned to us today full of their usual bundle of energy and love - like they have never been away!

We have already reserved dates with Jane for our next holiday in the new year.

Would recommend Woodlandnook to anyone :)

Awesome place!
We have been visiting Jane at her cattery for over 10 years. My cat, holly, is a very important part of our family and it is always very important to me that she is very well cared for the weeks that we go away! I wouldn't take holly anywhere else. The care and attention to detail that Jane provides is second to none! The last time holly was with her she had sustained an injury to her leg, so, understandably i was worried about leaving her. Jane was competently able to give holly her medication and went above and beyond what we needed or expected. Daily updates and pictures made it easy for us to relax. Woodland nook is an amazing place and Jane is an awesome women who's passion and dedication shines through. I personally can't thank her enough.

Kitten's woodland retreat
This was the first time, we ever used a cattery, and Jane made it a painless and comfortable experience. Jane is a true cat lover and it shows, especially with the rooms (wish I could stay there!) They really are cottages in the woods that are for furry friends only, that are filled with toys and even a TV! This really helped to settle our cats as it was a more familiar setting for them as it was more like home. It was also a massive comfort to be able to use the camera in the room to be able to look in on them anytime.
Jane could not do enough to help us get our cats booked in, which was really appreciated, as this allowed us to go away knowing that our furry little monsters were safe.
As stated earlier this was the first time we have used cattery services, and we would not consider using anywhere else.

Happy cats, happy owners.
Well, what can we say. Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery is more than a business, it is built upon a total love for cats. We picked our three cats back up from Jane and the team today, after a week in Greece. It's the first time we had used the Nook to board our 'kids'. They stayed together in The Lodge. Usually we are anxious about leaving them behind, but Jane put our minds at ease straight away. And the Facebook updates we received from Jane while we were away just showed us how happy they all were. In fact Rose seemed a little too happy and we were worried she wouldn't want to come home with us today! Highly recommended.

Fantastic setting and facilities together with first class caring service
We were very nervous about putting Poppy into a Cattery after a previous bad experience. We knew it was the right thing to do and decided to try Woodland Nook as we had Poppy as a rescue cat from Jane 7 years ago.
We shouldn't have worried as Poppy settled very quickly and we received lots of lovely photos and messages during our holiday.
When we collected Poppy we knew immediately that she had been happy and well cared for.
We won't use any other Cattery in the future even though we live 40 miles away!!

Outstanding!!!!!!
This place is amazing!!!! Janes level of care is exceptional, she is so loving and caring to all her boarders. The cattery is in a gorgeous location and the cleanliness is 100%. My cat stayed in the log cabin, which included a single bed with lots of comfy cushions and a tv on the wall, home from home!!! I would highly recommend this cattery and personally wouldn't take my cat anywhere else.

You can go & enjoy your holidays knowing full well that your cat is not just being cared for but pampered by Auntie Jane. To be honest if she charged the same for the owners I would stay there myself. The constant updates throughout our holiday just goes further to reassure you how well your cat is being looked after. Well I suppose I would recommend this cattery to people if they asked but I'm trying to keep it a secret as we don't want it full up when we try & use it in the future.

But on a more serious note I couldn't recommend this cattery enough.

If you want total piece of mind.....
Our cat has had yet another wonderful holiday while we were on ours. The accommodation is set in a lovely woodland setting. The log cabins are spotlessly clean and even have TVs!

The owner Jane is as potty about cats as you are and looks after them as if they were her own with regular treats and plenty of fuss.

I wouldn't take my cat anywhere else.

Highly recommend. It is more of a cat 5 star hotel.
I was really worried about leaving my 2 furry babies. After meeting Jane I knew that they would be cared for with genuine love. The accommodation is pure luxury, I would seriously sleep there myself. Whilst on holiday Jane sent lots of pictures and videos as requested which made me feel much more comfortable as I could see they were happy and being truely spoilt. I would not send my cats anywhere else now. Thank you Jane, the care that you give is definitely outstanding.

So good you'll want to stay yourself !!!
My gorgeous boy Simba has just been on his hols with Auntie Jane at the 5* luxury accommodation at Woodland Nook. The photos are for real but what you can't see is the total care and dedication Jane gives to caring for your babies and this, together with her wealth of knowledge, means you can go on your well earned holiday totally confident that you will be coming home to one happy puss. Jane & Simba kept in touch throughout our holiday with photos and updates which made us smile. Hand on heart, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Jane and would certainly never book a holiday without confirming that she has a suite available first !! I wouldn't even look anywhere else.

Peace of mind and outstanding level of comfort and accommodation for Ollie, Ralph and Raffa. They were cared for with excellent care and attention during our holiday by Jane the owner. A
huge thank you for keeping us informed of their progress during our time away your dedication and love of cats really shines through. ,Excellent care and attention paid to Ollie, Rafa, and Ralph during their stay in August.
Every attention to detail is taken care of from the log cabin they stayed in with a bed to sleep on and toys and climbing frames to keep them entertained, food , diet and treats, right through to keeping us posted on their progress by email throughout our holiday. YES. The pictures are of a cattery...
Looking at the pictures the rooms look like a hotel and they are comfy beds, chairs, flat screen tv's I would stop at Woodland Nook. During our holiday Jane sent us regular photos and updates about Charlie but having used Woodland Nook before we knew that there was nothing to worry about. This is the most fantastic cattery that you can imagine..unbelievable it is cat heaven..thanks Jane

Luxury accommodation and peace of mind
This was our first time placing our cat in a cattery whilst we went on holiday and, despite fabulous recommendations from family, we were a little nervous. We needn't have worried - the accommodation was 5* and provided a very homely feel. A few days before we dropped Barney off we requested a web-cam in the cabin and, despite the short notice, Jayne was happy to accommodate our request. I'm so pleased we requested the web-cam (and that Woodland Nook offer it) as it provided complete peace of mind that Barney had settled in well and was enjoying his time there. Jayne provides a wonderful service to the cats and their owners and we had complete confidence that Barney would be well looked after on his 'holiday'. We will certainly use Woodland Nook again for our future holidays - it was worth every penny. Thanks Jayne.

What an amazing place.
My ragdoll Dexter is a rescue cat and is very shy and timid and a very anti sociable cat.
I booked mini break to Spain and was very aprhensive about putting Dexter in a cattery. I search the Internet and came across woodland.
What a find !! Jane is amazing, the lodges are amazing they are home from home for the cats.
I paid for cctv while I was away so I could watch Dexter all the time, I will not be paying for that again when he stays again as there is no need to worry at all. He took to Jane straight away and was doing triple rolls for her in no time. Thank you Jane for looking after my fur baby, you are truly a wonderful lady.

Contented, happy cat !
Over a number of years, our family cats have been on their holidays with Jane in her unique 5* accommodation and they have always received the best individual care and love. We therefore had no hestitation in leaving our newest addition at Woodland Nook for 3 weeks whilst we ventured abroad. He is already booked in again for September and has an early reservation for our summer vacation next year. There is complete peace of mind that our special boy will be not only be safe but enjoy plenty of interaction and fuss in relaxing, secure and luxury woodland lodges.

Amazing accommodation
We have recently got 2 kittens, a brother and sister and we were going away for the weekend, which hadn't originally been planned. We didn't really want them to be in a cage and I found Woodland Nook Cattery online. We went to meet Jane who clearly runs the amazing cattery based on her love for cats. The set up is just pure luxury! They get a cabin with their own bed, toys, a veranda and even a TV!! Prices are only slightly more than catteries that just keep them in cages.
Our 2 stayed that weekend and then a little while later we booked them in for a week whilst we went away on holiday. They were happy as anything and very relaxed when we got them home.
Jane sends pictures during their stay so we can see how they are doing and they were having so much fun!
We wouldn't even think to ask anyone else to look after our baby furries as Jane and her husband offer such an amazing set up with great care for them that we know they will be very happy and relaxed. Highly recommended!

Two weeks luxury stay at woodland nook

Thank you for having me whilst my mum and dad went on holiday. I really enjoyed my stay. Your luxury wooden cabins are a real treat and I had a single bed and television of my own. I was really comfortable and would definitely like to come again. I would recommend it to any others who's owners are going away.

Fit for a princess.
This was our Bengal baby Rosie's first holiday. She can be shy and timid but she soon settled with Aunty Jane. Rosie is spoiled at home and Jane made sure that she had everything she needed, including company at meal times. It was obvious how much time Jane had spent with Rosie as when we collected her there was a lovely bond between them. Rosie's room had all the comforts of home; a proper bed, duvet, cushions, pillows, TV, radiator etc and was spotlessly clean. Jane sent us regular photos and videos while we were away so we knew all was well. As this was the first time we had left Rosie we were worried that she may have been unsettled, but no, she is her normal self and I think she may have liked to stay with Aunty Jane a bit longer! If your fur baby is as important to you as Rosie is to us then this is the place for their holiday. It is obvious how much Jane loves what she does and this shows in how well the cats are looked after. Thank you so much Jane for looking after our baby.

Cattery Perfection
We have 3 cats and have had cats for my whole life. We have used many catteries over the years and can honestly say Woodland Nook is the best we have ever used. Nothing is too much trouble and even though 2 of our cats are rather timid, they always come home in good condition and happy. The security features are spot on for any houdini's and its a weight off my mind leaving our cats with Jane. I dont worry about them at all and that is worth every penny and more!

5 Star Luxury for your Cat
This cattery has to be seen to be believed. My two have just spent a 10 day all inclusive relaxing holiday in a log cabin with single beds , lovely bed linen, TV , central heating and private patio, maid service included. Jane really looks after them as her own. They come home happy and no stress. My mainecoon has a special diet, no problem and my little torte is very shy and nervous but soon settles. Jane sends me pictures and updates whilst I am away which puts my mind at rest to know they are alright. I would recommend Woodland Nook Cattery to any one .

Oscars Holiday
Absolutely wonderful cattery. My cat Oscar stayed with Jane for nearly 3 weeks whilst I was on wedding and honeymoon. He had CCTV in the room so I could see him as I get nervous leaving him for such a long time but I had no need to worry as I knew Jane would take very good care of him as she used to look after my previous cat. Oscar now loves his Aunty Jane and he was so relaxed and happy when I went to collect him. I would definitely recommend Woodland Nook Cattery it is very rare to find a cattery whom the owner is a great lover of cats and gives each individual cat the care and attention they need which is really important when leaving your furry kids to go away on holiday.

My cat has had his own holiday of a lifetime
My cat Charlie has just stayed for 15 nights with Jane and he has clearly been well looked after. Charlie is a Persian so he needs a good brush and his eyes wiping daily to keep him in tip top condition and Jane has done this brilliantly because he looked amazing. Jane also sent me pictures/ videos throughout his stay so I could see he was settled. The surroundings and the log cabin are brilliant and I would definitely recommend this cattery to everybody. Can't wait for my next holiday knowing my cat will get well looked after.

INCREDIBLE!!!
This place is way beyond anything you can imagine! It is 5++++++ star for your fur baby! Jane has done the most incredible job and it completely took my breath away when I first saw the room my cat was going to stay in! A beautiful heated log cabin, single bed (with duvet & mattress protector so she could snuggle under), flat screen tele, a heated cushion and a lot more! You honestly have to see it to believe it. Jane adores her cats and it's not often that you see the same love applied to other people's cats, but you definitely do here! My cat loved her stay at Woodland Nook as shown on all the photos that Jane sent to me while I was away. Thank you so much Jane - your palace for cats is amazing & I won't hesitate to recommend you to anyone! x

FANTASTIC PLACE!!!!,FANTASTIC CATTERY!!!
I picked my cat Solo up from his first two week stay at Woodland Nook today and I have never seen him so relaxed and happy after a 'cattery' stay. I say 'cattery' because this place is more like a 5 star resort for cats. Solo stayed in the Sky room with his own tele, double bed, and fire place. I can tell he has really enjoyed his time here from the many photos and emails the lovely Jane sent me through my holiday and how calm he has been since returning home. He is usually quite a nervous cat around new people and hates catteries, he tends to lose weight and not eat when home. He has been the complete opposite to this, much to say he would have probably wanted to stay longer for cuddles with Jane! Jane really cares for her animals and is such a lovely person, I could tell Solo had made a strong connection with her. Woodland Nook is by far the BEST place to take your little family cat. I can not praise Jane enough. x

The Perfect Hotel
After having a previously bad experience with boarding our lovely little boy we had searched for somewhere that sounded like luxury and we found it by recommendation from a friend in Woodland Nook!! The rooms are better than some of the hotels I have stayed in. Jane is fantastic and you can see that she totally loves her job and the cats that she is caring for. We were recommended to go and visit before booking which we did and were totally blown away by the beautiful surroundings. We booked straight away!
I added Jane on Facebook as we left and received lovely messages from her while we were away showing quite clearly that Otis was happy and content, all in all a fabulous experience we will definitely be booking Otis in for further holidays in the future.

5* Luxury for our Feline Friends
Woodland Nook has been looking after my 2 cats when I go on holiday for the last 6 years. They are both rescue cats and one of them is particularly nervous - Jane is one of the few people she will allow near her which speaks for itself - Jane treats the cats as her own, and we can go on holiday knowing they are being well looked after, or completely spoilt actually! If Jane can't fit them in we change our holiday dates, I wouldn't consider leaving them anywhere else.

WOW!!! What a lovely place!! This was Fluffy's second stay with Jane at Woodland Nook, and certainly not her last!! Heated cabins, with beds and flat screen TV's, set in a lovely area, with a brook babbling by. You could quite happily stay her yourself.

The best cattery in this area by far.
Over the years my cat has stayed in a number of catteries and I have visited most of those in my area to find the one I think he will be happiest in. Woodland Nook is by far the best run and most caring cattery that I have found, and even though it is 40 minutes drive from our house, we take him there. We know his physical needs will be cared for, but also that the people who run the cattery genuinely care about the animals that they are looking after. They are cat people themselves, and understand how hard it can be to leave a cat behind. I can unreservedly recommend this cattery to anyone searching for the right place to place their pet.

You have to see it to believe it!
There are no words to describe what a wonderful cattery this is! My cat stayed whilst I went on my holiday and whilst I was nervous about leaving him it was a great comfort to receive updates and be able to watch him on the webcam looking out at the wonderful scenery and wildlife. He came home very happy, amazing place!

Murphy loved his stay...
Murphy has just come home from his first 'tester' stay at Woodland Nook. We were delighted to see that he settled in beautifully and are planning to book him in again for a week later this year. His room - not pen!- was a home from home for him, and by all a accounts he took great delight in choosing his daily treat from the 'Specials Board'!

I have 4 cats. When I go on holiday where they stay is as important as where I stay and that means the only choice is Woodland Nook.
It says it all that when we go to collect them they are sitting content and in no hurry to be off.
I know the care they receive is second to none so that means peace of mind for me while away.
Three of the cats were rescued and need the level of tlc they get.
Auntie Jane is their mum while I'm away.
Can't praise it enough

Sheer luxury for cats and a very special lady (Jane) who loves her job and is so dedicated to her Cattery but also the welfare of many rescue cats both in the uk and abroad. Not like any other cattery you have encountered! This is luxury living for your pet. So good you might want to stay there there yourself and send Tiddles away on holiday! Becky and Toby love staying with Jane at Woodland Nook.
I would never send them anywhere else, it is clear Jane adores cats and the cattery is like a hotel for cats I would give 10 stars if I could, from the minute I drop them off I am totally relaxed knowing my cats are not only looked after well but are loved as if they were Janes own.

Amazing cattery
We totally love this cattery Jane is a kind thoughtful owner who clearly loves her job . We felt fully relaxed leaving Lola and was given enough time to settle her and myself as I was very nervous as it was the first time we had left her. Cat heaven ...
Woodland Nook Cattery is just outstanding! The owner - Jane - has thought of everything to keep your cat in luxurious surroundings. Their own 'proper beds' with duvet and pillows - as well as a cat bed just in case they don't like the proper bed! Spacious 'log cabins' with television, lovely and warm, web-cam available if you want to keep an eye on your cat while you are on holiday. It is just beautiful and I think excellent value for the facilities provided. It's in a lovely quiet area and Jane is just devoted to all her cats so you can be sure she will spoil them ... they might not want to come home ;)

5 stars holiday place for your loved cats
We just took back home our 2 bengals from their stay from Jane's cattery.

The cattery has been expertly purposed built and there is a lot which remind a home environment ( bed and even TV).

But more importantly... they clearly received a lot of TLC ... now that we found Jane's place , we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Excellent Cattery,A Great Cattery
We were concerned about leaving one of our cats in a cattery as a result of a recent problem which made him very nervous. Jane at Woodland Nook reassured us that she would look after him and certainly kept to her word. She spent a considerable amount of time with him and this was helped by a warm, double glazed and immaculate unit.
On picking him up he was relaxed and quite at home.
Thank you Jane for going the extra mile and we have no hesitation in recommending your cattery to prospective clients.

Purrrfect !!!
Having lost 3 cats in a year to old age, my wife and I decided to be 'pet-free' for a while to give us the freedom to travel etc.

It wasn't long before we realised that our home without a cat was not complete, so approx 12 months later and having contacted a couple of local cat's homes, we found Jane and Woodland Nook.

During our visit, unfortunately we did not find a cat - instead, the cat found us !!! and we agreed to provide a home for a small B&W cat; Katy!

Since then, we have taken Katy back to Woodland Nook on a number of occasions whilst we have travelled. Although there are many cattery's local to us, we have found none that match the quality, cleanliness and commitment of Woodland Nook.

I doubt if we would have this level of confidence with anyone else

We honestly cannot fault this business and will continue to support Jane and Woodland Nook as long as we can

Thought about staying there myself
I have an elderly cat with health issues but knew that she would be very cared for whilst I was away. Jane who owns the cattery obviously has a passion for caring for cats and this is reflected in the fantastic facility she has created. The rooms have been so carefully thought out with a proper bed and quilt. The rooms are heated and can be be opened so the cats can feel a breeze but without their view being obscured by netting. The setting is very tranquil so even the most timid cat wouldn't have a problem staying there. My cat responds well to being able to hear voices and the large wall mounted tv that she had in her room ensured that she settled very easily. My only concern is that as we live fairly close to Woodlands Nook that my cat Ellie might decide to take herself back there if we don't maintain the same care as she has received from Jane! No hesitation in recommending this cattery!

Simply The BEST!
What can I say about Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery that hasn’t already been said? We have been users of Jane Lynegar catteries for years and would not go anywhere else. Her dedication in providing for your cats every need is first class matched only by her enthusiasm for her cat rescue charity. She definitely does not just like cats – she totally loves them and in turn they all love her. The accommodation is at best, Rolls Royce standard and at worst, Bentley! The attention to detail is outstanding - far in front of any hotel I have stayed in. My two cats have spent time at Woodland Nook and Jane’s previous catteries and we have no hesitation in recommending Jane, her loyal team and her fantastically well equipped cabins to anyone.

Outstanding!
This is the first time we've left our rescue cat whilst we've been on holiday, and were a bit anxious about how she'd cope with being left.

I definitely shouldn't have worried, she has spent the last week being treated like one of the feline family, in a luxurious room complete with bed, sun room and maid service.

The lovely lady who runs the place also runs a cat rescue and you can tell she absolutely adores every puss which passes through her doors. I will be using this cattery every time we go away, with 100% confidence that my cat will be treated with the best of care!

Excellent Cattery
Really can't praise Woodland Nook enough, Tilly stayed in one of the log cabins for a week, it was amazing each room is large with a comfy quilt covered bed with a pillow, television and lots of toys, each room also has its own sink for fresh water and a cupboard for food, biscuits and treat, they truly are on their holidays being spoilt to the max! We now have a grumpy Tilly who doesn't want to be home, she would definitely have stayed longer 🐱

After a disappointing visit to another cattery, I was recommended to Jane and Woodland Nook by a friend; Socks and I were delighted with the care, love and comfort he was afforded. When I saw his cabin, I was tempted to send the cat to Wales for the week and book into Woodland Nook myself! We will be back...

Outstanding Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery
We have know Jane and used her services for a number of years. This is the first time our cat had boarded at Woodland Nook he had recently undergone a major operation and we knew he was in very safe hands. The facilities of the new lodges are outstanding and the benifit of the CCTV login was extra peace of mind and worth the money. The peaceful woodland setting and stunning room completed with a bed and TV and exterior run which is out of this world! You could stay there yourself. We can not reccomend Woodland Nook strongly enough. Well worth the money and would a visit in order to fully appreciate the facilities available.👍😻😻😻👍

Cats home from home
Jane loves cats. I new this from the first time I met her. She is so loving to them that she treats your cat just like she is his owner. Nothing is any trouble, she will go the extra mile to ensure your cat is made to feel safe and just like he would at home. Jane is your cats other Mommy. The Lodge provided for your cat to stay in is second to none with all mod cons provided to ensure you and your cat have a perfect time away from each other. My cat Pechus loved his stay so much I think he wanted to stay even longer. You can be assured you and your cat are in safe hands. Woodland Nook is the best place to have your cat boarded at, he will enjoy his holiday as much as you will.

Outstanding - probably the best cattery in the Midlands!!
We've used Jane's cattery services at least twenty times over ten years. Our cats came from Jane's rescue centre. We were so overwhelming impressed by the quality of care provided at both Woodland Nook and her original cattery, Top Cat 'n' Tails, that we've used them ever since, despite being thirty minutes away! No where else have we found such a caring cattery team.
When booked up, we've had to resort to alternative catteries; but none matches the care and security Jane's provide.
We're extremely particular about where and with whom we leave our cats. We've had several less than satisfactory experiences elsewhere, but would struggle to fault Jane's catteries or the effort Jane and her team, put into looking after animals in their care.
Woodland Nook is exceptional: Secure, comfortable rooms, homely and stimulating environments. We love their attention to detail and good documentation - it's so reassuring. Knowing our cats are safe and happy, ensures we have a great holiday too!!

Excellent 5 star Cattery
We have just boarded our cat at Woodland Nook Cattery run by Jane
It is the most luxurious Cattery I have ever seen, a bed a TV, toys, scratch posts, and most importantly cuddles from Jane
I was very nervous about leaving my cat for the first time, but we had a web cam that Jane provided, and could see she was relaxed and happy
I would recommend this Cattery to anyone
We are taking our precious cat back for a second time soon

Peace of mind
Not sure who was worried me or the cat, her first time at Woodland Nook. How wrong we were there is nothing to worry about. This luxurious catter is 5+ star. Such high standard of cleanliness, bed fit for a human, television and kitchenette. Very secure with security code. Nice and warm as my cat is an indoor cat she likes her warmth. She was home from home. Jane reassured us with such care and attention to detail. Would I send my cat there again? You bet I would. My cat is my child and very particular of her welfare. I definitely had peace of mind.

Luxurious Cattery
Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery is the best cattery I have seen. One of my boys is very nervous, but Jane spent lots of time with them during their stay, making it the best 'holiday' they have had. Jane gives regular updates and the webcam gives you access to check they are ok. Security is one of Jane's main priorities and the way the log cabins are set up, ensures there is never an open door to the outside world, which was very comforting. I will definitely be using this cattery again.

If a cattery describes itself as luxury, don’t believe it until you’ve viewed Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery.  This home from home cat hotel is the cat’s whiskers in comfort for your feline friend.  The immaculately kept individual lodges offer not only space and comfort, but touches to make your cat’s stay enjoyable and stress free; such as double beds, safe secluded additional bed areas for the nervous types, climbing platforms, toys, blankets, TVs for background noise, access to a conservatory with fresh air; and a bespoke feeding regime tailored to your cats, provided by someone who really cares for, and spends time with your cats while you are away.  And what’s more, you can watch it all going off via webcam too!  Simply outstanding.

Cat heaven,Complete luxury
We have used Woodland Nook twice now and it is absolutely cat heaven. The webcam is great and you can see Jane really spoils our precious little boys. The log cabins are 1st class with every comfort that could possibly be provided - quality food, luxury bed, plenty of toys and best of all lots of cuddles! Not just 5 star but 5 star+ it's definitely the Ritz of the feline world!,We have used Woodland Nook twice now and it absolutely cat heaven. The webcam is great and you can see Jane absolutely spoils our precious little boys. The log cabins are 1st class and the attention they get is 110%. Cannot praise it highly enough - 5 star+!!

Amazing!!
After adopting two cats from Jane over the past 10 years, we recently used the Woodland Nook cattery while we were away on holiday. Jane and the staff are all wonderful and you could not ask for more reliable and kind people to look after your cats! The cattery accomodation is immaculate and the very best that we have ever come across in the many years we have owned cats. You can even watch your cat over a live stream cam while you're away, for those of us that are worriers!! I would highly recommend the cattery to anyone.

Fantastic place
Fantastic place for your cats to stay whilst your away. Its like a mini hotel room. I even asked when i viewed the rooms if it was for cats or people lol. Jane treats your cats like her own and spoilt rotten. There are Web cams so you can see your little fur babies. The rooms are kept really clean. Can't fault it in any way. I would recommend this place 100%

Beautiful
Woodland Nook has such amazing facilities that I would stay there myself. However it's not just the facilities that make it so special, it is knowing that your cat will be looked after by Jane who has dedicated her life to rescuing and rehoming. If you get chance have a look round the rescue while you are there. My Bengal came back from his stay at Woodland Nook very relaxed. Jane does everything she can to make sure they have a happy stay, she even went out and got my Bengal raw chicken when he wouldn't eat.

Having known Jane for quite some time I would just like to say what a lovely careing lady she is , with total dedication to the feline world . This is why after visiting woodland nook boarding and rescue my wife and I decided to put our cat Milly in there whilst we were away for two weeks in April . What you have to bear in mind is that Jane along with her band of approximately 25 volunteers rescue cats in the UK as well as abroad , yes abroad !!! . Woodland Nook is there to support this sterling cause . I suggest a visit to Woodland Nook will be time well spent and guarantee if you want piece of mind for your feline friend(S) whilst your away on holiday you will come away from Swanick reassured .

Out of This World !!!
This cattery is amazing !! I'm sure when I went to fetch Sonny and Lillie home they looked at me and said "what have you come for, we like it here"
Their room was fantastic, a double bed with lovely bedding and soft fluffy pillows.
A large tv on the wall and webcam so we could see them whilst we were away.
All so lovely and clean and from visiting Woodland Nook I can see the love and attention
the guests receive from Jane.

TIGGERIFFIC !!!
This is undeniably the most luxurious cattery out there -
Raffles Dubai for our Feline friends !!!
Tiggers cabin consisted of a fully made up bed with duvet & pillows , 36" Flatscreen TV , Webcam link , Conservatory play area with views of the stream ,
It also come with its own Kitchen so the unit is fully self contained.
To give it 5 stars is an injustices as its so much more that due to the fantastic care and attention your cat gets from owner Jane and the staff.
Tigger has really bonded with Jane and the girls even giving then kisses and cuddles.
We have received regular updates and have been sent pictures of him having fun.
To have peace of mind while your away is priceless and if you leave your cat here you won't have to worry at all.
These people are proper cat lovers ..
They sprinkle something special on your cats holiday with them it's like ultra all inclusive.
If you love your cat like we love TIgger Woodland Nook is for you ..
It's just TIGGERIFFIC !!

A catastic place for your cat's holiday.
Luxury and peace of mind for your fur babies don't come better than this family run private cattery, tucked away in a private residence where Jane and Paul don't just work but live full time too. That's because these cats, and their rescue cats are their life, and it shows.
Not just any cattery, your cats are offered a log cabin or the "lodge" which come complete with proper beds, heating and TVs. They even have webcams so you can check in at any time too. Jane can also send you pics and updates via Facebook if needed. She will treat your cat as one of her own, spending quality time with them to bond and settle them in, as will her volunteers that support this fabulous cat hotel out of the goodness of their own hearts.
Our cats wouldn't go anywhere else, it's well worth the few extra pounds to see the quality of space and care they will receive in our absence. Highly recommended...your only worry will be if your cat wants to come home!

Ella loved Auntie Jane and Uncle Paul, they spent so much time settling Ella in. Ella's accommodation was outstanding but the personal care goes above and beyond. Jane has such a love for all cats.
We loved receiving photos off Ella looking happy and settled.
I can honestly say I was alright leaving Ella with Jane knowing she was in such good hands.

This is the 2nd time this year our furr baby has been to Woodland Nook, the 2nd time in the Lodge & so glad I found it & definately will not be going anywhere else. What a beautiful cattery & an amazing find & very well run & maintained. Definately 5 star + rating. Auntie Jane is an absolute gem with the cats & are very well looked after through their stay. Each room are spacious, fully equipped from beds & bedding, aircon, tele, radio, subtle lighting for night time & are in a safe environment. Amazing place

Omg this place is amazing when Jayne who is a absolute diamond shown me round I walked round saying WOW the only other time I’ve ever said WOW was when I watched my first granddaughter born. I would love to stay in one of the penthouse suites myself for a week 😘. We took daisy who is 7 years old it’s the first time she has ever been in a cattery I normally get people in to care for her but last time we left her she lost a lot of hair through stress so we wasn’t happy leaving her at home again. Thankfully we found Jayne daisy stayed with her for 6 nights and thankfully daisy has come backs very happy cat. I was very anxious about leaving her but Jayne put me at ease sending me photos and updates so my holiday was very stress free cause I knew daisy was in good hands and safe. She has been home 3 days no loss of fur and is very happy. So yes daisy will be visiting Jayne again. Thank you Jayne you are marvellous x

What a wonderful place.
We have just collected our cat following a week away and we could not be happier. Billy is a very nervous and anxious boy and needs lots of love and attention. He could not have been in safer hands, Jayne is a wonderful, kind, caring and genuine person. She has a wealth of experience which is evident in the way she manages both the animals and the parents. From the moment we arrived I felt as though we were handing our boy over to a friend as opposed to someone we did not know.
The cattery is set amongst the backdrop of a woodland and is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The accomodation is amazing with his own bed and TV, a patio and conservatory area. All of his sensory and physical needs were very much the priority. The accomodation is very clean and luxurious. Jayne spoke to us at length to reassure us and kept us updated regularly . I cannot recommend Jayne and the cattery highly enough and look forward to booking him in again soon.

Wouldn’t take them anywhere else
Wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else. As a vet I get particularly anxious about leaving them in the care of someone else but I drop them off on their holidays and no longer feel an overwhelming sense of worry or guilt. A truely stress free experience
This was the first time I had left my 8 month old, timid girl with anyone. I was so anxious about leaving her with anyone and especially at an impersonal cattery where carers are busy, with little time for each of the cats in their care. I could not have been more wrong. Jane and her cattery are beyond outstanding. The accommodation is beautiful, it really is a home from home. It beautifully clean and relaxing with lovely views for the cats to while away the day. Such a clever concept and so comfortable. My little Lola thrived during her stay with Auntie Jane who spent lots of time helping her settle. I will have no anxieties about leaving her again with Jane and can't think I would ever leave her anywhere else.
Huge thanks to Jane and her talented, wood activity centre maker husband. You cannot believe how easy you made this process and how much you are appreciated.

Wow wow wow
Woodland Nook is just the nicest place to leave your cats. Jane the owner is the sweetest kindest gentlest genuine lady to care for them . It was the first time leaving my cats for a week. Jane kept me informed how they were getting on which was so kind and even sent me photos. The cattery is just an idyllic place so so clean and it smells lovely too. We cannot recommend Woodland Nook enough, we have known Jane and Paul for a good 10 years as a rescue centre and boarding cattery, This is first time we have used the cattery and wouldn’t hesitate to use again soon, we had regular updates and pictures to reassure us and the lodges and penthouse rooms definitely do not disappoint they have been well and truly looked after with also their daily treats of steamed fish, Rotisserie chicken, sirloin of beef or Tuna !! they are now home not stressed at all happy and relaxed,
You can also take their favourite toys, scratchy posts anything that helps them to relax we Evan took our bedding for their bed lol 😂 xx
We now know we can go on holiday and relax and know they are looked after well xx

The best cattery!!
I wouldn’t take my cat anywhere else! Jane takes care of the cats as if they were her own. I received daily updates which put my mind at rest being able to see her so relaxed there. I am a veterinary nurse and the first time I left our cat in the cattery I was so worried but immediately as soon as I got her there I was put at ease after seeing how amazing the cattery facilities are and how caring Jane is with the cats. I couldn’t recommend woodland nook enough! If your in doubt book a viewing and you will not want to send your cat anywhere but woodland nook!

Luxury cattery
This was the first time our very nervous cat stayed with Jane. And WOW so pleased we found her superb cattery which offers luxury accommodation for cats in a homely caring environment. The accommodation is pure luxury where every little detail is considered for the pets. Jane is a very gentle and kind lady who clearly loves the animals and loves what she does. Her husband is an incredible carpenter/builder who has helped develop her dream. Our cat was very nervous in his new environment but we knew straight away that he would be cared for by Jane. Jane very kindly sent us regular pictures of our cat with little messages that comforted us that he was okay, and she clearly spent quite a lot of time with him helping him to settle in. She was even able to coax him out from his hiding place under the bed with regular treats. We can't thank her enough for her care and kindness with our much loved pet. He is looking forward to his next holiday with Aunty Jane.

Absolutely Perfect
Truly the best place to take your cat to stay: lots of care and attention, every detail considered and amazing service. All tied together with beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere.

Our cat was particularly nervous and needed lots of extra settling in, but by the time we collected him, he was happy, calm and clearly loved Jane to bits!

We will have no hesitation whatsoever in taking him again, we would stay there ourselves if we could!

Perfect
I booked in my cats with Jane at Woodland Nook for the first time this year, having never used a cattery before. Any worries I had beforehand were immediately put at ease upon arrival. Jane was fantastic; one of my cats was initially very nervous but her patience and care meant that upon collection, both cats were very happy in their holiday home and had evidently enjoyed their stay! I received updates and photos everyday with how they were doing. The facilities are amazing, I knew my cats would have everything they need and more. I’m a veterinary nurse myself, and would 100% trust Jane to care for my cats again and again.

If your cat could book a luxury break, this is where it would be.
This place is so impressive in every detail. It was my cat's second visit to this beautiful feline retreat in a tranquil setting. Every cattery in this country should look to this place as the bench mark in feline care.
I along with many owners consider my 'Cat' very much a member of my family. Her happiness and well being are very important to me, so much so I find it impossible to enjoy my holiday without total peace of mind. Woodland Nook provides this.
The proprietor 'jane' or Auntie Jane, as my cat now think's of her, is very good at her vocation and devoted to the animals left in her care. My rescue cat is nervous and does not easily take to anything or anyone new to her. Jane was sensitive to this straight away, making her stay with her as stress free as possible. I really feel like I am taking my cat to her holiday home from home.
Once you've tried here you won't want to go anywhere else.

The best cattery we've used!
Can't recommend Woodland Nook highly enough! We have 3 cats, all with different needs and personalities, including a Siamese who demands a lot of attention due to health and emotional (!) requirements. We recently used the cattery for the 1st time. We were confident that our 'motley crew' would be very well looked after but Jane's care and attention surpassed even that. She went to great lengths to ensure that they were happy, comfortable and well cared for. We collected 3 very contented (and rather smug) cats at the end of their stay!
The facilities are fantastic - cats have plenty of space and areas to hide, or lounge in! There's also an outdoor area where they can sit and watch the world (and birds) go by. Everything was immaculately clean.
Jane gave us a very comprehensive tour before we booked - I'd suggest that anyone who's new to Woodland Nook and considering making a booking to do this. This is a cattery which is over and above the 'norm'!

Great December getaway for both cat and owner
I used this lovely cattery in December for my 14 year old cat who is very set in her ways. The rooms are so lovely and overlook countryside - not a cage in sight and very much bespoke caring to the needs of the individual animal. And the owner is catered for too with regular updates direct to your phone whilst away. AS a result my cat came home very relaxed, looking beautiful and as a testament to the great care, she is booked in for another 3 holidays.

Calm and loves what she does
It was our kitty’s first time in a cattery and she stayed for a week. Jane gave us daily updates as requested and was so patient with her. Jane tried many different foods with her to help her settle in and eventually managed to calm her down. I can’t thank Jane enough for giving our kitty a safe and warm environment for Christmas.

10☆+ care for felines
I really can't recommend Woodland Nook & Jane highly enough. This really is the most amazing place & Jane has thought of every little detail to make sure the experience is a positive one.
This is the first time we've used a cattery & I must admit I was concerned how our cats would settle. In 11 years they have never been away from home apart from brief visits to the vets. Moving house meant we needed somewhere for them to stay.
Jane instantly made them welcome & I must admit I was amazed. They settled so quickly & the regular photo updates from Jane put my mind at rest. The lodges are a very home like environment (or better, could have booked myself in for a few days ;) !). When I collected them they were both settled, purring & all over Jane (I think they would have preferred to stay to be honest!)
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodland Nook & Jane to anyone that's looking for the perfect place to leave their cats in the knowledge they will receive the best possible care.

What an amazing place!
After taking my cat Bryn to stay at Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery for almost 2 weeks, I was completely amazed at what a 'home from home' it was! He had his own penthouse room, complete with single bed, flatscreen TV, a secure decked balcony, toys and heated bedding. It was so comfortable I suspect he did not want to leave when I went to collect him! An absolutely superb service provided by Jane, I left him feeling completely relaxed as I did not worry about him being looked after. All at an affordable price. Highly recommend.

I can’t thank Jane enough for making a home from home environment for my two British shorthair cats that had never been in a Cattery before, she went above and beyond to settle them in and reassure them.

First class professional service
I have been using Woodland for many years. I would not entrust my cats to anyone else. The rooms are spacious, spotless, safe and warm. My timid little girl Alice stayed for the first time recently. Jane gave us her full attention on arrival and spent time daily helping Alice settle down! I went on holiday feeling relaxed knowing my cat was in the best hands! 😺🙂💖

Amazing cat haven
It is my pleasure and duty to leave Jane and her amazing cattery five stars 5***** , my two cats haven’t been in a cattery for over three years and Woodland Nook is a home from home, I would have no hesitation in boarding my boys there again. Jane spent an hour with me on my booking showing me around and the lodges, each lodge has both indoor and outdoor space, a bed in each room with bedding, toys and home comforts including a television. I was sent some beautiful photographs and a video of my boys which put my mind at rest and reassured me that they were both happy. I particularly liked the fact that Jane spent time with my boys, she sat down with them on the floor petting them and bonding with them. This is a cat haven and a cat owner haven as the level and quality of care is amazing. Thank you Jane from Nicola, Morris and Tom Tom.

Most luxurious cattery and kitty well-being centre possible
I cannot sing Jane’s praises highly enough! I felt completely happy and confident leaving my three fur babies in her caring hands when I went away. Both Jane and her hubby, Paul, are so kind and calm and have the most luxurious kitty accommodation possible! My babies had their own bedroom, sitting room and kitchen: home-from-home and sheer luxury, fit even for humans! In fact, my Dad thought he’d be more than happy staying there himself for his holiday! Jane kept me updated with how my kitties were and spent so much time getting to know them and helping them to settle. I will never go anywhere else and am so grateful for all Jane did. Thank you so much Jane for everything, and myself and my fur babies look forward to seeing you soon!

A special place
Despite being an hours drive from our home we wouldn’t take our cats anywhere else. As a veterinary surgeon I can get extremely anxious at the thought of trusting my babies in the hands of someone else as it’s not something I usually ever have to do. However the lodges are incredible and more importantly Jane is amazing, very calm/caring with the cats but also very patient with slightly stressy owners like myself 🤣

Home from home
We are so lucky to have a Cattery of this amazing standard so close to our home. Jane goes above and beyond to accommodate us and to look after our little girl Lucy. She treats her as if she was her own and we receive regular updates and pictures from her when we are away. The room are spacious, clean, cosy and have the familiar luxuries a cat loves to enjoy at home such as a bed, tv, toys and a lovely garden to look out at. Would 100% recommend.

Jane you are an amazing, calm, human being that obviously loves cats. Your cattery has been built and developed around the needs of your guests...(ie: our cats) in a wonderful rural home setting. I would not hesitate to bring my Eva back to you for a vocational stay as I know she will be looked after by a caring devoted surrogate mummy.

Absolutely fantastic
I wouldn’t book a holiday unless I could be sure my 2 fur babies were booked in here , Jane is absolutely amazing, an you can see her love off cats 🐈‍⬛, the “rooms” as you can’t call them Cattery runs are outstanding, you actually have to see it too believe it , my niece actually thought it was OUR Holiday home , Jane and her husband go above and beyond to meet your Cats every need , what amazes me is that Jane knows everything about all the cats she has in her care , as I said, I would rather not go on holiday if I couldn’t get my cats in here , it’s a 10/10

Highly recommended
Having had several cats over many years, we know how stressful it can be find a suitable place for your feline little treasure when you go away.
Our latest member of the family was a 7 month old, very energetic, inquisitive and quite demanding Snow Bengal.
Having looked at the extremely clean, very comfortable accommodation set in beautiful, extensive gardens, we had no doubts about leaving him in the capable hands of Jane. She is so obviously devoted to cats and goes out of her way to make both them and their absent owners at ease.
We would have no hesitation returning to Woodland Nook and confident that we would be totally relaxed in the knowledge that ‘Bailey’ would be completely cared for.

The very best for cats and worried cat parents!
Our cat has just spent a week here and we were absolutely overwhelmed by the standard of accommodation, food available and the general knowledge of and love for cats Jane has! Our cat had never been away from us until this week and we won't hesitate to leave her here again. We received regular updates via Facebook and Jane made every effort to reassure us and our cat.

My cats had just as good a holiday as I did!
Spider and Gizmo have just come home after a week staying with “Aunty Jane”. They have had an amazing time. She sent photos and updates every day and I felt totally confident that they would be cared for. Jane took time to listen to what Spider and Gizmo like and respond to and provided everything to make them feel at home. I can’t recommend Jane’s cattery highly enough - in fact, it’s more like a hotel for them.

Lap of luxury!
Max has just had his third visit to Woodland Nook and I have just booked several more - this is a superb Cattery with the highest standard of care and facilities, but what is more significant is the level of knowledge and “reading” of Max’s needs and the provision of love and affection - always done on Max’s terms of course! Jane communicates every few days with photographs of our boy lounging, eating, being cuddled by Jane or her husband, being groomed and nurtured - he comes home with very high expectations!. I would not send him anywhere else and he would refuse to go! Where else would he be offered a buffet breakfast!! Thank you Jane!!

Amazing 5* cattery
What an amazing cattery and owner!
I was really anxious to leave my cat, Izzy, due to her having a previous bad experience at another cattery. Izzy is also quite a timid cat and so this just increased my worry.
However, I couldn’t have asked for a better person than Jayne to look after her. She spent time with Izzy and worked her amazing magic on her! The cattery is beautiful and Izzy’s room was so lovely and pristine.
Jayne sent regular updates and photos and I felt so happy knowing that Izzy was truly having a 5* stay. I would recommend without hesitation and will definitely be booking Izzy in again when I next go on holiday.

Wow! Fantastic cattery! 5 star accommodation for the cats makes this cattery home from home. Jane is brilliant and gives a truly personalised service. Billy Cat
Jane runs this first class cattery with love, our old boy Billy, recently stayed here and he couldn't have been better looked after, from his daily mixed diet, medication and home comforts - all were brilliant, even cat steps were there in case Billy had trouble jumping up onto the comfy bed! His room looked out onto the peaceful garden, and we left him there in complete confidence. Jane sent regular pictures and updates, and we would definitely use Jane in the future and have no hesitation in recommending Woodland Nook, Jane looks after the cats like her own, and Billy definitely enjoyed his holiday too!

Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant cattery. First time leaving our cat in one and this was perfect for settling our anxiety and making our cat happy and relaxed for the 2 weeks she was there. My two ragdoll cats went to Woodland Nook Cattery recently for the first time for a few days. Jane who runs the cattery is a really nice lady and you can tell she loves all cats very much and treats each one like her own.My two have enjoyed staying there very much and Jane has looked after them so well.She has sent me pictures of them each day so I can see what they are doing and if they are happy and I felt very assured that they were.I can't thank Jane enough for looking after them so well.Thankyou so much xx

Christmas at The Nook
Yet again my four cats spent Christmas with Auntie Jane.
They could not be better cared for anywhere.

Stunning Cattery
This was the first time for my baby Kiki staying at Woodland Nook, but I'm sure it won't be the last! I had done some research for local catteries & the reviews were glowing. When I arrived with Kiki I was not disappointed! This is a beautiful sanctuary for much loved felines. Each room is kitted out beautifully with a personal heater, a real bed with duvets, pillows & cuddly toys! Not to mention Kiki had her own television! The room was pristine with separate areas for food and litter & a spacious outdoor area so she could stretch her legs! Jane was very thorough & clearly very knowledgeable on all things cats. She paid attention to detail & makes sure she is fully aware of dietary & health requirements. I really can't praise the level of care enough & upon my return I could see Kiki was very comfortable around her. I even got regular photos to ease my mind that she had settled in well. Thank you so much for looking after Kiki. She will be back soon for another little holiday!

Beautiful and caring environment
Our first time here and first time leaving our little boy. This place is amazing and beautiful. 5 star all the way. Cats are given stunning rooms with real beds, a tv, heaters and outside space and are cared for extremely well by Jayne and her staff. We collected him today and he looks really well and no signs of stress or anxiety and very relaxed. If I was a cat I’d happily stay at Woodland. Also Jayne provided daily photos which our girls loved receiving of him playing or exploring.

Not your average cattery
This was the first time I had left my Oriental cat Luna in a cattery. I was a bit worried about leaving her as she is quite highly strung and nervous around new people. However, the cattery is lovely and homely with the rooms set up to be like bedrooms rather than cages, and Jane was very good with her, so I felt happy to leave knowing she was in good hands.
While we were away we had photo updates and I could see she was settled.
I would have no hesitation about taking Luna to Woodland Nook again, and will be booking her in for next year.

Our Cat's New Second Home
As first time users of a cattery we were naturally concerned and quite particular in our requirements. Woodland Nook stood out for many reasons mainly:

1. Jane the owner offered COVID safe tours of the whole property.
2. The accommodation was literally second to none in terms of quality, space and comfort.

We knew after our tour that we'd made the right choice - Jane is the most warm and friendly person and her expertise in cat care is limitless.

Bear had the most adorable room to spend just over a week in, with all the comforts you could expect for a 5 star hotel room for people never mind cats (including a full size human bed and a daily buffet of gourmet food!). We received constant updates and photos on Whatsapp of his experience whilst we were away and it was clear that he had found his second home. He loved Auntie Jane; as do we.

You must see the place for yourself if you are looking for cat boarding. We would recommend without hesitation - Jane you're the best xx

The best cattery there is.
You cannot write a review but only an eulogy about Woodnook Cattery. This must be the best Cattery in the UK. The setting is delightfully peaceful and secluded for the cats. They have their own individual ("Hilton hotel") room/bedroom, patio and decking terrace protected by thoughtful flyscreen mesh. The rooms are spotless and kept at a comfortble temperature. This was the first time staying away for our young cat 'Mabel' and although she is a little timid at first, Jane won her round very quickly. We were reassured about Mabel from Jane's photographs sent on WhatsApp. Jane is a first class cattery provider, warm, with a lovely sense of humour. It's abundantly clear how much she loves the cats she cares for (and owns) and is very knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong boarding your cat with Jane.

Home from home with extra care and attention.
The ultimate cat pad. Unbelievably warm welcome for cats and owners. Full stay explained in detail to ease any anxiety about leaving our fur baby. We had seen the pictures of the posh pads, but they can never show the attention to detail that is given to the care of each of the cats in their care. From special treats (roast chicken) to cozy fur snuggling blankets and water bottles and heat pads. Lots of cuddles and individual playtime. Photo and videos of our little furball's holiday adventures. He had better accommodation than we did. We couldn't thank Jane enough for the excellent service. We have already booked for our next week away knowing that our cat will be just as happy as we are to be going on his holidays to Auntie Jane and Uncle Paul's.

Jane has looked after my cats on numerous occasions.... they are looked after with love and affection. A genuine cat lover! On leaving my Milo this week (a rescue cat) he settled immediately and Jane treated him as she would her own. Home from home for much loved pets. No stress at all when I picked him up... or when I arrived home. Brilliant!!!

Purrfect place!
First class service from a first class cattery. A home from home for our cats. It's obvious that the owners have a devotion to kitties second to none. We had never used this cattery before and with two cats who don't always see eye to eye we had a few reservations. We needn't have worried! After a wonderful tour of the facilities we knew they'd be in experienced hands. We received numerous photographs of our cats throughout our holiday and it was delightful to see how well they were getting on and how much attention they were getting. Were knew they were being truly cared for, not just 'minded'. It made all the difference. I can't recommend this place enough. Such lovely people in beautiful surroundings. Five stars for sure.

Exceptional
We left our kitten with Jane for her first visit at Woodland Nook. We were a little apprehensive about leaving her but Jane took exceptional care of her and put us at ease too. Nothing was too much trouble, she gave our kitten lots of additional attention during the day, provided her with a range of toys to keep her entertained and sent us daily updates about how she was getting on. I wouldn’t leave our kitten anywhere else.

Fantastic cattery! Now where better.
This is an excellent cattery. We wouldn’t send our boy anywhere else. Jane understands cats and the care they receive is exceptional. We’ve sent our cat there lots of times and it’s so reassuring to know that he is having a good holiday too while we’re away. We get regular updates and photos of him having a good time. As soon as we arrive he comes out of his carrier and goes to Jane for a fuss. He always enjoys another fuss before coming home. That just says it all to us. To us it’s worth every penny. He’s very happy when he gets home too. Jane and her husband give a fantastic service. The lodges are very luxurious and everything a cat could desire has been thought of. We’d stay there ourselves if we could. We’d highly recommend this cattery.

Clydes review of Woodland Nook
I’ve just collected my cat Clyde from his 3rd holiday at Woodland Nook. He absolutely loves it here and the service he receives from Jane and the team is fantastic. We are regularly updated and receive lovely photos most days of our boy having the time of his life.

Fantastic and relaxing home from home for your cats.
Just picked up my 2 girls after their 2 week holiday at Woodland Nook. Having had a negative experience at a previous Cattery I was anxious to find the the right place for them & Jane was recommended by a work colleague. The experience at Woodland Nook is above and beyond anything that could be expected. Jane really knows cats and she tries to create a home from home environment for cats in her care. She also understands Cat moms and dads, how anxious Cat parents can be about leaving their babies in a strange place. There are no pens at Woodland Nook. All the rooms are fabulously furnished bedrooms with a private outdoor area. My girls stayed in The Lodge, a huge room with conservatory and outdoor patio. Jane kept in regular contact and sent lots of lovely photos. I also liked that she took her time at the beginning to learn all about my cats, making lots of notes about their personality, diet and preferences. I never felt rushed at any time. Woodland Nook is amazing. Highly recommend.

Amazing Cattery
I was so nervous leaving my baby for the first time, but there was nothing to worry about. Jane was brilliant, if anything Milo has come back more confident. My kitten is very shy and would usually hide away when anyone comes in the house. When I picked him up from Janes he was on her lap and given her cuddles. He was very content and happy.

Jane takes the time to take you round her amazing cattery and puts you at ease when you are away with re-assuring messages and pictures so you know your baby is happy and safe. I will never go anywhere else.

Amazing first-time stay

AMAZING!!
I was searching for a long time to find the perfect cattery for my babies, I came across woodland nook and I fell in love! This is exactly where you would want your cats to stay, they was looked after the way they are at home, spoilt, warm, loved I could go on! I got messages daily including pictures of my little ones which made me so comfortable knowing they are happy and loved. I even got to have a camera in their room so I can check on them whenever and wherever I was. I HIGHLY recommend Jane & her husband, they are the most loving people, I could happily stop here myself with my babies (If it was allowed)😂 as it’s that beautiful and welcoming! So much work and thought has gone into the cattery & the rescue and i can’t believe how much of an amazing job they have done to make everything so beautiful.

Woodland Nook Cattery is no ordinary cattery, it is a 5-star retreat for pussycats. My two little girls really enjoyed their time with Jane and the team. While I was on holiday, they were on holiday. Flossie and Janey enjoyed a room together complete with their own bed, TV and catio. Their first stay away from home, Jane also reassured us with updates of how they were getting along. Any future holidays we take, we will be booking our girls back into Woodland Nook Cattery for their holiday too. They were treat like two little princesses.

The best luxury cat hotel in the world - EVER
A TRULY magical experience for my little boy’s first time in a boarding cattery 🐾💕 Honestly, this luxurious cat “hotel” is like something from a fairytale story... you won’t believe your eyes! These individual log cabin rooms for the kitties, with their own human bed to sleep on, tv, toys, own radiator, and little personal “catio” to sit outside in... I am lost for words. My little boy was looked after so so well by you and now I now know I can go away and leave him with you overnight where is he treated like royalty. Thank you so so much, you have the best luxury cattery in the world (it’s official), and I can’t wait for me and LittleMan to see you again xxxx 💕💜🐈

Lovely kitty cattery / retreat
Absolutely wonderful Cattery. I found Woodland nook from searching locally and the reviews made me see that Woodland nook was the right choice. The owners Jane and her husband are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and wonderful, kitted out with TV's and little beds. A lovely retreat that even a human would love 🤣
We will definitely use this cattery again and highly recommend.

The Best Holiday Hotel for Cats EVER!
Lily stayed with Aunty Jane for the second time in October. It was so much easier leaving her this time as I knew she was in the best hands and that she would have the greatest care. Jane sent messages and photos regularly and I could see how much Lily loved her. In fact, we struggled to get her to come home! I was able to enjoy my holiday without worrying if Lily was ok. If you still have any doubts about Woodland Nook after reading all the 5* reviews, you really should go and have a look for yourself. I never want to leave Lily anywhere else. It is a fabulous place!

Puuurrrfect!!
Excellent stay for our little 'Missy'. A friend recomended Woodlank Nook and what an amazing place this is. The rooms are beautiful and clean with their own t.v and big bed so they feel at home. There are doors leading to a private outside area which Missy can overlook the garden and the sounds of the water feature and take in the beautiful surroundings. My daughters loved getting the photos sent during Missys stay. You can see how happy your little one is and it helps knowing Missy was having a lovely holiday of her own. Jane has excellent cat knowledge and is so helpful and is so kind and caring. We have booked short stays and recently had a two week stay. Missy loved it and we will definitely book again for our next holiday. My daughters love dropping Missy off and going to pick her up as they get to see the beautiful place Missy gets to stay in. It really is an amazing place. What a puurrrfect place!

wow oh wow, if you love your cat, they'll love you forever
A stunningly beautiful place for your cat that truly couldn't be beaten; it is luxury 5* that you would love to stay at, never mind your cat! You know your cat will be loved, fed and looked after all the time you're away. Comfortable bed, tv and outside verandas are only half of the experience they'll receive.

Fantastic Cattery with a dedicated and caring proprietor.
Our two have stayed a couple of times now and I have to say that Jane provides them with a real home from home. It’s a lovely place with several resident cats who are so chilled out and relaxed which just shows what a great environment Jane has created. The accommodation is top notch with comfy beds and plenty of space for exercise, even a tv! Our cats are always relaxed and happy when they return which shows just how well they’ve been looked after.

Special diets are no problem and treats are included! Jane takes great care to ensure guests have their dietary requirements fully met.

We have no hesitation in highly recommending Woodland Nook, just make sure you book in good time as their well earned reputation means that they are very busy.

The best cattery you will ever find
My two cats have just had a weeks holiday at Woodland Nook and I couldn't be happier with the comfort and care they received from Jane. You will not find a better cattery than Woodland Nook as it is literally like home from home for your fur babies complete with bed and TV in their room giving it a relaxed, homely feel. You can also take your pick off of the 'treat of the day' board for your kitties to enjoy including tuna, spit roast chicken, silverside beef and other yummy delicacies. You can tell this isn't just a job to Jane, it is her passion and she will treat your cat/s as her own. Jane sent us pictures and updates throughout the week which put our minds at ease that our babies were ok. They both came home very happy and relaxed. We have already booked again for next year along with my parent's cats and have recommended it to family and friends. Thank you so much Jane, you are amazing and your cattery is out of this world!

Fantastic cattery, you will never need to look for a cattery again !
When our normal cattery couldn't get my 5 beautiful boys in for our recent holiday I went into panic, and so I had to start the hunt for a new cattery. After visiting many cattery I had almost lost hope and then I visited Jane n Paul's cattery. I couldn't believe to standard of the rooms it was like a 5 star lodge resort. Jane has so much care to give and she truly looks after your cats as if they where her own. She fully understood how much of a crazy cat lady I was and reassured me that they would have a fantastic time too. She kept us updated regularly with pictures of them playing and having a great time. When we came back it was incredibly moving to see the bond they had made with our boys. Being a veterinary nurse I am always looking for high standards and I wasnt disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble she even went out to buy a hot water bottle for my baby spynx incase he was cold. I will never use another cattery, this is a purrfect place for my babies to have a holiday too

Amazing, brilliant, couldn’t be happier
Our boy (cat) is 11 and 1/2 years old, been to the same Cattery for the last 10years, then being told they were closing scared us as we thought they were brilliant and wouldn’t find another one like it. Then we met Auntie Jane and Uncle Paul! From Hello we knew he will be happy and we will love it! He visited them in his holiday and it’s a home away from home! His got his own room, bed, tv and all his spoiled needs met. We get regular photos updates, our minds put to rest. His actually never been this happy and well looked after ever!!!! We couldn’t be happier and to be honest wish we found them from day one! I can’t recommend Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery enough! Any scared “mummy and daddy” be rest assured your baby will be looked after just like you would!!!! Thank you Jane and Paul! XX

Excellent cattery
After searching and going to view a few catteries because I couldn’t get my cat in her normal one i came across this one which i left a message for someone to contact me. Jane kindly rang me i said she had 1 pen left, I couldn’t believe my luck I straight away went to view. I got there and it is amazing i was amazed by how spacious it was even had a proper bed. It also had a veranda area and you can even have the webcam option.

Would definitely recommend, thank you so much for looking after my furr baby Jane she had a lovely time. Five stars and more from me and Millie.

Outstanding - this must be the best cattery in the country.
This must be the best cattery in the country - it’s more than five stars. The accommodation is really spacious and is furnished to the highest standard. The care that Jane gives is outstanding, she adores cats. My two cats stayed for a week at Woodland Nook and I could see them from the web cams that are installed. They settled straight away and had a great time, I could see that they were very content during their stay. I would recommend Jane and Woodland Nook without any reservation- I wouldn’t consider using anywhere else. It really is outstanding in every way.

The pur-fect holiday home for your cat!
My two cats were lucky enough to be fitted in for a 2 week stay here. Jane has thought of every creature comfort for your cat and many human comforts too! Each large room, is a home from home. They are made to resemble a bedroom with comfy beds, tv's radio and enclosed outside space, with beautiful gardens to gaze at.There is even a treat list to rival a hotel to spoil your cat while you're away.
One of my cats is very nervy and hasn't been in a cattery for years because of this, but she soon settled in with Jane's care and attention. I couldn't think of a better place, run by a more caring person for your cat.

5* Cattery!
My 2 Bengals recently stayed at Woodland Nook for 8 days and when I picked them up I knew I had nothing to worry about! They clearly had been extremely well looked after and were so content. I was initially nervous about their first cattery stay but Jane put my worries at ease straight away. Her regular updates kept me reassured to see that they were perfectly happy. I really appreciate the care that Jane gave to my 2 for babies and when we next go away I will be booking a room at Woodland Nook straight away!

The purrfect cattery
Just collected my girls from the most amazing cattery run by the most dedicated, kind ,lovely lady who my cats adore. They always look so well, calm and cared for when I collect them.

Each time they stay I can't imagine how this cattery can be more perfect than it already is but it just gets better and better. Jane is constantly planning, updating and introducing even more cat comforts.

I always book Woodland Nook before I book the holiday!!

Jane has been looking after my fur babies for the last 14 years. She has so much knowledge from her 25+ years of caring for cats that I know if I need advice she will have the answer or different options for me to try.

If you want peace of mind whilst you enjoy your holiday look no further Woodland Nook Cattery really is the best.

Amazing lady Jane
Our three fur babies have been with Jane for nearly two weeks and she proved how dedicated and brilliant she is when our eldest got ill she gave us a ring and when we couldn't get anybody to take him to the vets she kindly offered. She took him to her vets on the same day and they were able to diagnose what was wrong with him and Jane started him on his medication straight away.

I can't recommend highly enough taking your cat/s to Jane to look after she does a fantastic job and each room is so well thought of in the best interests of the cat.

Lily and Evie’s home from home
Just got our two ladies home from Woodland Nook Cattery Swanwick
They are British shorthairs and can be hard work at times, but we have no problem leaving them with Jane from Woodland Nook, as we know they are loved, and cuddled, groomed and everything is done for them as we would do.
Would never take them anywhere else, and can’t recommend enough

Woodland nook boarding cattery
I am writing this, but don't really want to in case whenever my 2 babies want to stay, there will not be any room!....Anyway, forget all the rest of so called catteries. This is a holiday for them. No cage, no cat flaps, no death defying thin pieces of wood to crawl up and down. Tele, patio, bed, heaters, aswell as loads of room for them. This is the only place you should be taking your baby to if you care about them whilst you are away. .....but don't tell everyone please.😽😽.

Outstanding cattery always goes above and beyond.
Just got back from a 2 week holiday having used Jane and woodland nook again for our beloved 19 year Siamese our gorgeous boy.. he can be very high maintenance being Siamese and 19 years old. We have nick named Jane our Buzz Light Year.... As she always goes above and beyond she is a wonderful caring lady... Treats every cat as if it were her own.. You couldn’t ask for better... I really can’t recommend Jane and woodland nook highly enough... you would have no worries she is a marvellous lady.

This was the first time we have left Molly at the cattery as our cat sitters have flown the nest, We need not have worried about her as she was completely well looked after. The rooms are amazing as is the setting. Jane is very calm and I was impressed by the comfortable and clean rooms you could stop there yourself. We felt Molly was 100% looked after and wouldn't hesitate recommending this cattery

Wonderful Cat Hotel
I had only used a cattery once before. The people were lovely but the accommodation was so different to what my cat was used to. When we picked her up it reduced me to tears. She was so timid and wary and I vowed never to leave her again. Then my son moved abroad. What was I to do? I scoured the Internet looking for places. By divine luck I found Woodland Nook. I thought it too good to be true and arranged to visit. It truly is a wonderful place and in a beautiful setting. Jane is such a lovely, calm and reassuring lady. She spent time with me to ensure I was happy leaving my cat and she allowed me to fill the room with paraphernalia from home to ensure the least stress possible for my cat. I was able to watch my cat via a web cam from which I could see that she was treated with great respect and kindness. I received photos and updates throughout my time away and I know my cat really enjoyed her holiday there. I have no hesitation in recommending Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery.

Woodland nook cattery
I can’t recommend this cattery enough. We were nervous leaving our cat there as he’d never been away from home before but Jane was lovely with him and settled him in well. He was in a lovely lodge with his own TV, full size bed, toys and even a little upstairs bit. My husband wanted to stay due to it being spacious and everything a cat could want or need as well as a human. She really has thought about everything. We received photos and messages from Jane reassuring us Buzz was well. When we collected him he was very happy and went up to Jane for a fuss before leaving. That said it all! When we got him home he was his usual happy self. Jane obviously adores all cats and this was certainly evident. We’re definitely using this cattery again and would highly recommend to others.

Amazing cattery!
Beautiful wonderful cattery! The log cabins are so luxurious I would happily stay there for my holidays! Photos of your cats are regularly sent and the webcam is a great idea, we watched our 2 cats every day on holiday which gives you great peace of mind. Food and cleanliness are to the highest standard and Jane is an absolute star who clearly adores all her guests. I wish I could give 10 stars! BEST CATTERY IN DERBYSHIRE!!!
I met Jane around 8 years ago when I started taking my Ragdoll to Top Cat Cattery. (which was amazing!)...Anya had her 1st holiday at Woodland Nook December 2018 and OMG!! Jane and her husband have did an amazing job building it from scratch. The cats stay in stunning lodges set in peaceful woodlands with a lovely little stream. The lodges themselves are so beautiful, cute, warm, cozy with actual beds, TV, catio and a WEBCAM!! It was so lovely being able to log on and see our girl!! (I always feel guilty about leaving her but being able to see her was fantastic and I could tell she was enjoying her surroundings!)

Without a doubt THE BEST CATTERY in Derbyshire! - Jane is such a lovely kind and caring lady who takes such good care of all her little visitors.

Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery is an excellent place to board your feline fur baby.
We have just boarded our 6 year old cat Sparky for the first time with Jane at Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery, on recommendation from a friend. Well, what a stunning setting and the log cabins are beautifully made and very cozy, also incorporating an outside space. Jane is such a lovely person who makes time to devote to her visitors to ensure they are happy and content. He definitely has been well looked after here. We really enjoyed getting regular messages from him and Jane whilst we were away. Sparky really enjoyed his time there and he will definitely be going for his holidays there again.

The best cattery / cat hotel ever! X
Absolutely fantastic, Jane is just amazing. From the first meeting until the very end. We had photos and videos daily of our little boy. Complete piece of mind. He was very well looked after, the log cabin he stayed In also had a cattio! More room than some human hotels!
He was fed the same food as at home but also special treats like spit roast fresh chicken and beef. He was completely spoilt.
We will definitely be bringing our little boy back for a holiday in the future.
Thanks again to Jane for keeping mummy and daddy up to date throughout our holiday.

Home from Home for your cat
Fabulous place, run by Jane who sees it as a lifestyle and not a job. Coco had her own room with a single bed and a secure outdoor space with a chair and cosy blanket. She had lots of treats such as tuna and beef as well as her normal food. Jane sent me photos and updates which was reassuring. I got such a lovely fuss off Coco when I picked her up, she seemed really happy and settled straight back into her normal home routine.
It’s never easy leaving your pet in a cattery but this is as good as it gets.

AMAZING!!!!!!
We wouldn't leave our precious little girl anywhere else. "Auntie" Jane (as she is now known :-) ) has looked after our cat for a few years now, the accommodation and Jane's love and attention to detail is outstanding and second to none.
Jane even sends photos of our little girl so we can see how happy and chilled she is.
We won't book our holiday until we have secured a booking at Woodland Nook.
The place itself is amazing - I'd happily stay there myself!! Each cabin is spacious, immaculately clean, totally safe (double locked (double-glazed) doors in each section - which Jane diligently insists one door isn't opened until the other is closed AND locked) and has a made bed and television, total home from home.
Jane herself is 100% dedicated to all the cats, she is such a lovely lady.
We cannot recommend Woodland Nook enough and would give loads more stars if we could.

Woodland Nook Cattery/Hotel
This is the second time our cat has spent time with Jane and her staff at Woodland Nook. Their dedication to their work is evident from the moment you arrive. The "private lodges" are spacious, well equiped, heated and provide as much comfort for your precious cat as they will need. You can of course also take your own items to help your cat settle and feel at home. The lodges are set in large mature private garden providing views to keep your cat interested.

Jane is devoted to cats and her work and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cattery.

Amazing Cattery
We used Woodland Nook after glowing reviews from a friend. She was absolutely right!
Jayne looks after your cats every need and houses them in one of an amazing set of lodges. Every care is taken to ensure the cats are looked after how you want them to be, including meal choice, treats and even what TV channel to keep them company.

Jayne even sends you pictures of your cat while your are on holiday to ensure you can relax and enjoy your time safe in the knowledge they are having as good a time as you are!

Very highly recommended.

Exceptional in every way
The welcome, exceptional rooms, facilities and genuine love and care Jane gives our cats mean that we would never consider using anywhere else. Infact, we always check availability before booking our holidays. The cats' holiday comes first! Recently, our 2 young cats stayed with her for 16 days, their longest period yet. One of our cats is very nervous and I was worried how he would be being away from home for so long. During our holiday, it was very reassuring to receive regular pictures and updates and see both cats were having a lovely time. When we went to pick them up, both cats looked great, happy and relaxed. They settled really quickly at home and our nervous cat actually seems more confident!

Exceptional care and peace of mind
Jane has looked after our family cats for many years and we know her care and accommodation are truly exceptional. We wouldn’t leave them anywhere else. However, on our young cat’s second visit of the summer to Woodland Nook, we have had even further proof and experience of just how fortunate we are to have have such a superb Cattery on our doorstep and to have such a knowledgeable, vigilant and compassionate owner in Jane.
Just days before we left for France, our little boy sustained an injury needing 3 lots of meds and he was definitely not himself Despite this, I had absolutely no hestitation in asking Jane to look after him as planned and knew we could go away with total peace of mind that he would be in the very best of hands- and of course, he was! Jane kept us fully informed of his progress via photos, videos and messages, arranged a follow up visit to our vets and was able to advise on how to continue his treatment once back home. Outstanding care for cats
My two cats have had a few stays with aunty Jane whilst we have been away on holiday. You are instantly made to feel welcome and your cat/s too. Best cattery in the country!
We cannot rate this cattery highly enough. Our two boys are ex ferals, extremely nervous and have never been left before, so much so that we haven't had a holiday in 10 years! We found Woodland Nook through a web search and decided to try them due to all 5* reviews and webcam facilities and we couldn't be happier that we did. Jane is first rate, she sent photos and updates throughout their stay, and spent time with them, getting them to feel comfortable and relaxed. She really is a natural cat lady and instinctively knows what they need and require. She was incredibly accommodating to our nervousness and gave us as much time as we needed to get them settled and say goodbye. Just look at the website pictures to appreciate the settings and grounds of the cattery. The rooms are better than most hotels! It is calm, peaceful and has a lovely vibe. We drove 45 minutes to reach Woodland Nook and have no regrets. We firmly believe this is the best cattery in the country.

Outstanding care for our Cats and excellent accommodation.
We had the pleasure of booking our 3cats into the Woodland Nook again this year . We had no hesitation in booking and were assured of excellent service from the owner Jane who’s relentless attention to detail in ensuring the welfare and comfort for your cat is second to none. Again our 3 rascals were looked after impeccably , we were treated to updates whilst away providing peace of mind .

Kitten’s home from home
Our two kittens have just had a brilliant stay with Jane. The lodges are just like a home from home, with comfy bed, tv, outside decking area and webcam so we could drop in to see our kitties whenever we liked. We received regular whatsapp photos also. Home from home
Woodland Nook is an amazing place!

This was our cats first experience of staying in a boarding cattery. Clover is a rescue cat and so we were unsure how she would settle. She had a trial day and afterwards Jane suggestions on how to make her next stay more relaxed; which worked a treat.

A week later Clover went for her stay and Jane kindly provided a room to suit her needs. During the week Jane sent photos and updates and by the end Jane was amazed at how much progress she had made. We would certainly book Clover for a stay again.

Jane is so kind, caring and goes above and beyond to provide for the needs of each individual cat.

We took tilley to Jane's for three nights what can I say other than outstanding. Tilley had her own room with a bed and a conservatory . Jane is so good with all the cats and made Tilley feel so welcome xx we got photos of Tilley whilst we were away it was amazing x I fully recommended nutbrook cattery. Fabulous location and first class care
This is the third time we have used the Cattery and I certainly won't use anywhere else. We travel more than 30 miles each way to use Woodland Nook as it is the best place to leave our precious cat. The care and attention is first class and each cat is made to feel comfortable and safe. The facilities and location are 5 star 🌟 worthy. Tranquil setting. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The best Cattery by far. If l could give Woodland Nook & Jane 10 stars l would.
My Princess Tootsi Tinkerbell went to stay with Jane for a week at Woodland Nook. She had been in a cattery before but not for a while. I was so nervous leaving her, she's such a delicate soul, loves her human family, but very wary of strangers.
We dropped her off & l could tell straight away that Jane & Tootsi was going to be the best of friends. The "room" Toots was in was amazing, her own little bed, tv, outside run where she can look out over fields.
Regular pictures of Tootsi why we were away (from Jane) relaxed me so much, to know she was fine & had settled in made my holiday better. We went to pick Tootsi up & she had done the, let me hide under the quilt trick so no one finds me. She wa purring away so happy & content & l know her holiday to Woodland nook had been an amazing time for her.
Jane (owner of woodland nook) is a very special lady, she is so gentle, calming & caring with our babies, she treats them like they are her own. My Tootsi as found a new friend in Jane

Amazing catery truly exceptional.
We have now used Woodland Nook twice for our cat, Alan and it is exceptional. I know my cat is well looked after, and the regular updates I receive whilst away put my mind at rest. The surroundings are truely beautiful and are definitely luxurious.

5*catisfaction!
We have just collected a very happy and contented cat from another visit to Woodland Nook. We are so lucky to have such an excellent bespoke Cattery in our village and to have someone as caring and loving as Jane to look after our little boy.
He has had a lovely spacious room with an airy outside run where he can watch the birds in the trees in welcome shade.
There is the addition of aircon for these hot days and heating for the cooler months so what with his tv and own cat divan, I think he has been in the lap of luxury!

The best cattery ever!
When I first heard about the cattery through a family member I knew that I had to try it for my little tabby. Jane, the lady who runs the cattery, treats every cat like her own.

Instead of locking them up in a small cage like other catteries your cat gets to have a large room to itself with a big bed and space to run around. Jane is very thorough about what food and treats they like and does everything she can to make your cat feel at home. You can even add her on Facebook and get regular updates to put your mind at ease! But you should not need to worry when your cat is in the hands of Jane and her cattery :)

Such a wonderful cattery with beautiful surroundings and such a lovely group of people. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants their cat/cats to be treated like they are at home with lots of love and care :)

Absolutely amazing with the most kind, loving person I have ever met. Just fabulous
Well I just don't know where to start. This place just blew me away it's set in the most beautiful grounds with happy babies in the most wonderful homes all handmade by Janes dedicated husband. The homes are amazing giving your babies a first class loving environment and being cared for by the most loving dedicated person I have ever met Jane is a fabulous caring loving mummy for all your babies. The rooms are just out this world with their very own beds, kitchens, televisions, toys with homemade craddles if your baby likes to be a little higher. The rooms all have spectacular views wether your baby is an indoor or outdoor baby they are all secured in this fabulous environment with more love than you'll ever no. My baby is an indoor baby and is a little shy and not used to outside noises her home for the past 2 weeks has been amazing my baby took to Jane and her home straight away feeling much love and safe. Massive thank you Jane for being you xxxxx

Purrfectly lovely
If you want your cat(s) to be in a cattery that's as close as possible to being at home then Woodland Nook is the place to come. "Watching" TV whilst lounging on a real bed (or one of the many cat beds!) in a big room with a window to the outside world, all and any food needs catered for, and a gentle hand for fuss and cuddles. Halle came home very chilled out indeed.

Home Service is 5 star!
I cannot say enough good things about Woodland Nook - we have quite a nervous house cat so whilst the boarding Cattery is absolutely lovely, we’ve opted for the home service on a number of occasions. Michelle who provides the service is fantastic - our cat is well looked after, and fussed lots whilst she’s there, plus our house is looked after too when we are away, as Michelle opens and closes curtains when visiting twice a day. She also kindly hoovered for us when wye were away for a week (definitely not expected but absolutely lovely just the same!). We wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

Outstanding!
What a fantastic place this is! Both my partner and I were blown away when viewing this place. The cabins are gorgeous, spacious, clean and most of all SAFE!

Jane herself was an absolute pleasure to deal with. You can tell she loves all the cats that go to her and she treats them with so much love as if they were her own.

Overall Percy loved his stay and refused to get into his crate upon collection which is always a good sign!

We will definitely be using Jane again.

Amazing
Our two cats Finn & Ollie have just come back from this fantastic place .The care they have received is second to none ,lots of fuss & choice of treats given everyday .I couldn’t believe the rooms when we visited it’s like no cattery I’ve ever seen before ,log cabins ,the lodge etc they actually have a real bed & the size of the rooms is unbelievable it's a fantastic place to leave your furr babies .The lovely Jane has sent photographs to us & messages all holiday & I can honestly say I’ve not worried one bit about them .This lovely lady is definetely a cat lover & treats them like her own ,I won’t take my two anywhere else now i have discovered this place .I can’t recommend enough 😊😊

Home from home!!
It’s the first time my bengals have ever been anywhere other than home so I was a little worried about leaving them. After getting my updates from Jayne in the first couple
of days my mind was totally put at rest, they were absolutely loving the outdoor run and since they have come back home they’re so calm and relaxed!! Will definitely be letting them stay here again for their holidays...highly recommended..thank you Jayne xx

Pusscat Paradise.
Thank you Jane! Josh had a wonderful holiday here and not for the first time. It was comforting for us to receive your messages and photos of Josh via Messenger, to see he was happy and well cared for helped us enjoy our holiday too. Thank you for spending time with him, brushing him, keeping him company, ensuring he ate his renal food and had plenty of water. He loves company and cuddles and judging by your photos he didn't miss out there.
From his little double bed in his log cabin, to the flat screen TV on the wall, to the little meshed open window so he could see and smell the trees and the birds outside, I would say he was very happy as were we! Thank you very much and see you next time.

Outstanding cattery!
Having a sphynx cat, I was very concerned about finding the right place for her due to the amount of care and attention and warmth she needs.
When I first found woodland nook, Jane was happy to walk me round every part of it and explain how they operate. Jane is so lovely and so attentive and certainly knows a lot about cats and their behaviour. I was instantly put at ease and didn't feel like I was putting her out by asking a million and 1 questions.
Jane catered to cleo's every need and more! I would say she went above and beyond and sent me lots of photos and video updates. I had the added bonus of being able to log in on line and see my cat 24hrs a day which was very reassuring.
I would 100% recommend this place. Great for people nervous about leaving their cats.
I wouldn't hesitate in taking her back if i go away again. It's a lovely place, lovely people and most importantly my cat really seemed to enjoy being there.
Thanks ever so much Jane, we are very happy customers.

Top Class Cattery
This Cattery is just the best out there. The attention to detail with every individual Cat is amazing. Jane treats all the Cats like her own and spends so much time with them. The rooms consist of a individual Log Cabin with double bed. Flat screen tv on the wall and loads of toys. I cant recommend this Cattery highly enough. 5 star plus

Christmas Stay
After being really anxious to leave my indoor cat over Christmas, after dropping him off with Jane I knew he would be absolutely fine. The level of care and attention was fantastic and he will was spoilt over his 2 week holiday at Woodland Nook! Having the option to have the camera in the room was a real comfort and put my mind at ease completely. We’ve already booked him in for his second visit this year! Thank you Jane.

Puurfect Cattery
I first visited Woodland Nook Cattery after I found out that Topcat and Tails cattery run by Jane had re-located and re-named. It was further away from my home so I decided to pay a visit, and what a treat! This place is amazing and spent an hour and a half chatting with Jane who also spent time out of her busy schedule showing me around! I loved every bit of it. The cabins were all perfect, clean and well kept. My cat, who has never stayed in a cattery before, loved it and came back home completely stress free. She was loved and pampered several times a day as well as being treated to roast chicken each day. Would highly recommend Woodland Nook to anybody and will Not take my cat anywhere else! You’re a treasure Jane doing all this for our pets!!!

Superb luxury cattery (holiday home)
Our two beautiful Bengals have just spent the last week holidaying at Woodlandnook with Jane.

It was the first time we have used a cattery and understandably were slightly apprehensive when we began our search for local businesses in the area. Jane immediately put us at ease touring us around her wonderful hideaway holiday homes for cats - we were astonished at the high standards and immediately confirmed a booking.

Our babies have spent the past week in The Lodge fully kitted out with a double bed, blankets, heaters, flat screen TV and out door run with climbing frame/scratch post. Jane provided us with photos and updates through FB throughout our holiday. They have returned to us today full of their usual bundle of energy and love - like they have never been away!

We have already reserved dates with Jane for our next holiday in the new year.

Would recommend Woodlandnook to anyone :)

Awesome place!
We have been visiting Jane at her cattery for over 10 years. My cat, holly, is a very important part of our family and it is always very important to me that she is very well cared for the weeks that we go away! I wouldn't take holly anywhere else. The care and attention to detail that Jane provides is second to none! The last time holly was with her she had sustained an injury to her leg, so, understandably i was worried about leaving her. Jane was competently able to give holly her medication and went above and beyond what we needed or expected. Daily updates and pictures made it easy for us to relax. Woodland nook is an amazing place and Jane is an awesome women who's passion and dedication shines through. I personally can't thank her enough.

Kitten's woodland retreat
This was the first time, we ever used a cattery, and Jane made it a painless and comfortable experience. Jane is a true cat lover and it shows, especially with the rooms (wish I could stay there!) They really are cottages in the woods that are for furry friends only, that are filled with toys and even a TV! This really helped to settle our cats as it was a more familiar setting for them as it was more like home. It was also a massive comfort to be able to use the camera in the room to be able to look in on them anytime.
Jane could not do enough to help us get our cats booked in, which was really appreciated, as this allowed us to go away knowing that our furry little monsters were safe.
As stated earlier this was the first time we have used cattery services, and we would not consider using anywhere else.

Happy cats, happy owners.
Well, what can we say. Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery is more than a business, it is built upon a total love for cats. We picked our three cats back up from Jane and the team today, after a week in Greece. It's the first time we had used the Nook to board our 'kids'. They stayed together in The Lodge. Usually we are anxious about leaving them behind, but Jane put our minds at ease straight away. And the Facebook updates we received from Jane while we were away just showed us how happy they all were. In fact Rose seemed a little too happy and we were worried she wouldn't want to come home with us today! Highly recommended.

Fantastic setting and facilities together with first class caring service
We were very nervous about putting Poppy into a Cattery after a previous bad experience. We knew it was the right thing to do and decided to try Woodland Nook as we had Poppy as a rescue cat from Jane 7 years ago.
We shouldn't have worried as Poppy settled very quickly and we received lots of lovely photos and messages during our holiday.
When we collected Poppy we knew immediately that she had been happy and well cared for.
We won't use any other Cattery in the future even though we live 40 miles away!!

Outstanding!!!!!!
This place is amazing!!!! Janes level of care is exceptional, she is so loving and caring to all her boarders. The cattery is in a gorgeous location and the cleanliness is 100%. My cat stayed in the log cabin, which included a single bed with lots of comfy cushions and a tv on the wall, home from home!!! I would highly recommend this cattery and personally wouldn't take my cat anywhere else.

You can go & enjoy your holidays knowing full well that your cat is not just being cared for but pampered by Auntie Jane. To be honest if she charged the same for the owners I would stay there myself. The constant updates throughout our holiday just goes further to reassure you how well your cat is being looked after. Well I suppose I would recommend this cattery to people if they asked but I'm trying to keep it a secret as we don't want it full up when we try & use it in the future.

But on a more serious note I couldn't recommend this cattery enough.

If you want total piece of mind.....
Our cat has had yet another wonderful holiday while we were on ours. The accommodation is set in a lovely woodland setting. The log cabins are spotlessly clean and even have TVs!

The owner Jane is as potty about cats as you are and looks after them as if they were her own with regular treats and plenty of fuss.

I wouldn't take my cat anywhere else.

Highly recommend. It is more of a cat 5 star hotel.
I was really worried about leaving my 2 furry babies. After meeting Jane I knew that they would be cared for with genuine love. The accommodation is pure luxury, I would seriously sleep there myself. Whilst on holiday Jane sent lots of pictures and videos as requested which made me feel much more comfortable as I could see they were happy and being truely spoilt. I would not send my cats anywhere else now. Thank you Jane, the care that you give is definitely outstanding.

My gorgeous boy Simba has just been on his hols with Auntie Jane at the 5* luxury accommodation at Woodland Nook. The photos are for real but what you can't see is the total care and dedication Jane gives to caring for your babies and this, together with her wealth of knowledge, means you can go on your well earned holiday totally confident that you will be coming home to one happy puss. Jane & Simba kept in touch throughout our holiday with photos and updates which made us smile. Hand on heart, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Jane and would certainly never book a holiday without confirming that she has a suite available first !! I wouldn't even look anywhere else.

The Mosley Trio
Peace of mind and outstanding level of comfort and accommodation for Ollie, Ralph and Raffa. They were cared for with excellent care and attention during our holiday by Jane the owner. A
huge thank you for keeping us informed of their progress during our time away your dedication and love of cats really shines through. ,Excellent care and attention paid to Ollie, Rafa, and Ralph during their stay in August.
Every attention to detail is taken care of from the log cabin they stayed in with a bed to sleep on and toys and climbing frames to keep them entertained, food , diet and treats, right through to keeping us posted on their progress by email throughout our holiday. Excellent service provided by the owner Jane and I would have no hesitation in recommending the cattery. Thank you Jane for your attention to detail it makes all the difference.

YES. The pictures are of a cattery...
Looking at the pictures the rooms look like a hotel and they are comfy beds, chairs, flat screen tv's I would stop at Woodland Nook. During our holiday Jane sent us regular photos and updates about Charlie but having used Woodland Nook before we knew that there was nothing to worry about. This is the most fantastic cattery that you can imagine..unbelievable it is cat heaven..thanks Jane

Luxury accommodation and peace of mind
This was our first time placing our cat in a cattery whilst we went on holiday and, despite fabulous recommendations from family, we were a little nervous. We needn't have worried - the accommodation was 5* and provided a very homely feel. A few days before we dropped Barney off we requested a web-cam in the cabin and, despite the short notice, Jayne was happy to accommodate our request. I'm so pleased we requested the web-cam (and that Woodland Nook offer it) as it provided complete peace of mind that Barney had settled in well and was enjoying his time there. Jayne provides a wonderful service to the cats and their owners and we had complete confidence that Barney would be well looked after on his 'holiday'. We will certainly use Woodland Nook again for our future holidays - it was worth every penny. Thanks Jayne.

What an amazing place.
My ragdoll Dexter is a rescue cat and is very shy and timid and a very anti sociable cat.
I booked mini break to Spain and was very aprhensive about putting Dexter in a cattery. I search the Internet and came across woodland.
What a find !! Jane is amazing, the lodges are amazing they are home from home for the cats.
I paid for cctv while I was away so I could watch Dexter all the time, I will not be paying for that again when he stays again as there is no need to worry at all. He took to Jane straight away and was doing triple rolls for her in no time. Thank you Jane for looking after my fur baby, you are truly a wonderful lady.

Contented, happy cat !
Over a number of years, our family cats have been on their holidays with Jane in her unique 5* accommodation and they have always received the best individual care and love. We therefore had no hestitation in leaving our newest addition at Woodland Nook for 3 weeks whilst we ventured abroad. He is already booked in again for September and has an early reservation for our summer vacation next year. There is complete peace of mind that our special boy will be not only be safe but enjoy plenty of interaction and fuss in relaxing, secure and luxury woodland lodges.

Amazing accommodation
We have recently got 2 kittens, a brother and sister and we were going away for the weekend, which hadn't originally been planned. We didn't really want them to be in a cage and I found Woodland Nook Cattery online. We went to meet Jane who clearly runs the amazing cattery based on her love for cats. The set up is just pure luxury! They get a cabin with their own bed, toys, a veranda and even a TV!! Prices are only slightly more than catteries that just keep them in cages.
Our 2 stayed that weekend and then a little while later we booked them in for a week whilst we went away on holiday. They were happy as anything and very relaxed when we got them home.
Jane sends pictures during their stay so we can see how they are doing and they were having so much fun!
We wouldn't even think to ask anyone else to look after our baby furries as Jane and her husband offer such an amazing set up with great care for them that we know they will be very happy and relaxed. Highly recommended!

Superb A star treatment for little puss pusses

You only have to visit the site to know how amazing the log cabins/lodges are and how much Jane adores cats. Two weeks luxury stay at woodland nook
Dear Auntie Jane
Thank you for having me whilst my mum and dad went on holiday. I really enjoyed my stay. Your luxury wooden cabins are a real treat and I had a single bed and television of my own. I was really comfortable and would definitely like to come again. I would recommend it to any others who's owners are going away.
I am sorry for the delay in writing to you but mum has been very busy with all the washing and ironing, thank goodness I don't have that problem.

Fit for a princess.
This was our Bengal baby Rosie's first holiday. She can be shy and timid but she soon settled with Aunty Jane. Rosie is spoiled at home and Jane made sure that she had everything she needed, including company at meal times. It was obvious how much time Jane had spent with Rosie as when we collected her there was a lovely bond between them. Rosie's room had all the comforts of home; a proper bed, duvet, cushions, pillows, TV, radiator etc and was spotlessly clean. Jane sent us regular photos and videos while we were away so we knew all was well. As this was the first time we had left Rosie we were worried that she may have been unsettled, but no, she is her normal self and I think she may have liked to stay with Aunty Jane a bit longer! If your fur baby is as important to you as Rosie is to us then this is the place for their holiday. It is obvious how much Jane loves what she does and this shows in how well the cats are looked after. Thank you so much Jane for looking after our baby.

Cattery Perfection
We have 3 cats and have had cats for my whole life. We have used many catteries over the years and can honestly say Woodland Nook is the best we have ever used. Nothing is too much trouble and even though 2 of our cats are rather timid, they always come home in good condition and happy. The security features are spot on for any houdini's and its a weight off my mind leaving our cats with Jane. I dont worry about them at all and that is worth every penny and more!

5 Star Luxury for your Cat
This cattery has to be seen to be believed. My two have just spent a 10 day all inclusive relaxing holiday in a log cabin with single beds , lovely bed linen, TV , central heating and private patio, maid service included. Jane really looks after them as her own. They come home happy and no stress. My mainecoon has a special diet, no problem and my little torte is very shy and nervous but soon settles. Jane sends me pictures and updates whilst I am away which puts my mind at rest to know they are alright. I would recommend Woodland Nook Cattery to any one .

Oscars Holiday
Absolutely wonderful cattery. My cat Oscar stayed with Jane for nearly 3 weeks whilst I was on wedding and honeymoon. He had CCTV in the room so I could see him as I get nervous leaving him for such a long time but I had no need to worry as I knew Jane would take very good care of him as she used to look after my previous cat. Oscar now loves his Aunty Jane and he was so relaxed and happy when I went to collect him. I would definitely recommend Woodland Nook Cattery it is very rare to find a cattery whom the owner is a great lover of cats and gives each individual cat the care and attention they need which is really important when leaving your furry kids to go away on holiday.

My cat has had his own holiday of a lifetime
My cat Charlie has just stayed for 15 nights with Jane and he has clearly been well looked after. Charlie is a Persian so he needs a good brush and his eyes wiping daily to keep him in tip top condition and Jane has done this brilliantly because he looked amazing. Jane also sent me pictures/ videos throughout his stay so I could see he was settled. The surroundings and the log cabin are brilliant and I would definitely recommend this cattery to everybody. Can't wait for my next holiday knowing my cat will get well looked after.

INCREDIBLE!!!
This place is way beyond anything you can imagine! It is 5++++++ star for your fur baby! Jane has done the most incredible job and it completely took my breath away when I first saw the room my cat was going to stay in! A beautiful heated log cabin, single bed (with duvet & mattress protector so she could snuggle under), flat screen tele, a heated cushion and a lot more! You honestly have to see it to believe it. Jane adores her cats and it's not often that you see the same love applied to other people's cats, but you definitely do here! My cat loved her stay at Woodland Nook as shown on all the photos that Jane sent to me while I was away. Thank you so much Jane - your palace for cats is amazing & I won't hesitate to recommend you to anyone! x

FANTASTIC PLACE!!!!,FANTASTIC CATTERY!!!
I picked my cat Solo up from his first two week stay at Woodland Nook today and I have never seen him so relaxed and happy after a 'cattery' stay. I say 'cattery' because this place is more like a 5 star resort for cats. Solo stayed in the Sky room with his own tele, double bed, and fire place. I can tell he has really enjoyed his time here from the many photos and emails the lovely Jane sent me through my holiday and how calm he has been since returning home. He is usually quite a nervous cat around new people and hates catteries, he tends to lose weight and not eat when home. He has been the complete opposite to this, much to say he would have probably wanted to stay longer for cuddles with Jane! Jane really cares for her animals and is such a lovely person, I could tell Solo had made a strong connection with her. Woodland Nook is by far the BEST place to take your little family cat. I can not praise Jane enough. x

The Perfect Hotel
After having a previously bad experience with boarding our lovely little boy we had searched for somewhere that sounded like luxury and we found it by recommendation from a friend in Woodland Nook!! The rooms are better than some of the hotels I have stayed in. Jane is fantastic and you can see that she totally loves her job and the cats that she is caring for. We were recommended to go and visit before booking which we did and were totally blown away by the beautiful surroundings. We booked straight away!
I added Jane on Facebook as we left and received lovely messages from her while we were away showing quite clearly that Otis was happy and content, all in all a fabulous experience we will definitely be booking Otis in for further holidays in the future.

5* Luxury for our Feline Friends
Woodland Nook has been looking after my 2 cats when I go on holiday for the last 6 years. They are both rescue cats and one of them is particularly nervous - Jane is one of the few people she will allow near her which speaks for itself - Jane treats the cats as her own, and we can go on holiday knowing they are being well looked after, or completely spoilt actually! If Jane can't fit them in we change our holiday dates, I wouldn't consider leaving them anywhere else.

WOW!!! What a lovely place!! This was Fluffy's second stay with Jane at Woodland Nook, and certainly not her last!! Heated cabins, with beds and flat screen TV's, set in a lovely area, with a brook babbling by. You could quite happily stay her yourself.

Seriously, the rooms are that good! This was Saffi's first stay away (She's not yet one year) and she loved it. Auntie Jane even sent us photographs of the pair of them cleaning the room.
We can't recommend Woodland Nook too highly.

The best cattery in this area by far.
Over the years my cat has stayed in a number of catteries and I have visited most of those in my area to find the one I think he will be happiest in. Woodland Nook is by far the best run and most caring cattery that I have found, and even though it is 40 minutes drive from our house, we take him there. We know his physical needs will be cared for, but also that the people who run the cattery genuinely care about the animals that they are looking after. They are cat people themselves, and understand how hard it can be to leave a cat behind. I can unreservedly recommend this cattery to anyone searching for the right place to place their pet.

You have to see it to believe it!
There are no words to describe what a wonderful cattery this is! My cat stayed whilst I went on my holiday and whilst I was nervous about leaving him it was a great comfort to receive updates and be able to watch him on the webcam looking out at the wonderful scenery and wildlife. He came home very happy, amazing place!

Murphy loved his stay...
Murphy has just come home from his first 'tester' stay at Woodland Nook. We were delighted to see that he settled in beautifully and are planning to book him in again for a week later this year. His room - not pen!- was a home from home for him, and by all a accounts he took great delight in choosing his daily treat from the 'Specials Board'!

I have 4 cats. When I go on holiday where they stay is as important as where I stay and that means the only choice is Woodland Nook.
It says it all that when we go to collect them they are sitting content and in no hurry to be off.
I know the care they receive is second to none so that means peace of mind for me while away.
Three of the cats were rescued and need the level of tlc they get.
Auntie Jane is their mum while I'm away.
Can't praise it enough

The Wow Factor Cattery
If Carlsberg made an advert for a Cattery it would be Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery. Sheer luxury for cats and a very special lady (Jane) who loves her job and is so dedicated to her Cattery but also the welfare of many rescue cats both in the uk and abroad. Not like any other cattery you have encountered! This is luxury living for your pet. So good you might want to stay there there yourself and send Tiddles away on holiday! Jane knows her business well and you know your cat will be treated like royalty while you're away. Real peace of mind for cat owners. Carol.

OUTSTANDING CATTERY
Becky and Toby love staying with Jane at Woodland Nook.
I would never send them anywhere else, it is clear Jane adores cats and the cattery is like a hotel for cats I would give 10 stars if I could, from the minute I drop them off I am totally relaxed knowing my cats are not only looked after well but are loved as if they were Janes own.

Amazing cattery
We totally love this cattery Jane is a kind thoughtful owner who clearly loves her job . We felt fully relaxed leaving Lola and was given enough time to settle her and myself as I was very nervous as it was the first time we had left her. I would fully recommend this cattery to anybody we definitely will be returning.

Cat heaven ...
Woodland Nook Cattery is just outstanding! The owner - Jane - has thought of everything to keep your cat in luxurious surroundings. Their own 'proper beds' with duvet and pillows - as well as a cat bed just in case they don't like the proper bed! Spacious 'log cabins' with television, lovely and warm, web-cam available if you want to keep an eye on your cat while you are on holiday. It is just beautiful and I think excellent value for the facilities provided. It's in a lovely quiet area and Jane is just devoted to all her cats so you can be sure she will spoil them ... they might not want to come home ;)

What an amazing place!!
My cat Lissy was looked after so well. The attention she had been given was second to none. When she was collected I'm sure she wasn't bothered about coming home. 5 stars holiday place for your loved cats
We just took back home our 2 bengals from their stay from Jane's cattery.

The cattery has been expertly purposed built and there is a lot which remind a home environment ( bed and even TV).

But more importantly... they clearly received a lot of TLC ... now that we found Jane's place , we wouldn't go anywhere else.

This isn't just any Cattery where you can leave your cats whilst you go off to enjoy yourself this wo
uld qualify for humans as a 5star hotel, Equipped with kitchen beds TV and music,Jane who runs it is very caring treats them as she would her own spent an hour a day with them grooming and playing,Sent us photos of them over Christmas but will webcam if wanted, We have used this cattery twice now and will continue to do so for Puzzles day Pumpkin,The price is so reasonable for the service and care that our cats received, Highly recommend you check this out yourselves,

Excellent Cattery,A Great Cattery
We were concerned about leaving one of our cats in a cattery as a result of a recent problem which made him very nervous. Jane at Woodland Nook reassured us that she would look after him and certainly kept to her word. She spent a considerable amount of time with him and this was helped by a warm, double glazed and immaculate unit.
On picking him up he was relaxed and quite at home.
Thank you Jane for going the extra mile and we have no hesitation in recommending your cattery to prospective clients.

We have two cats, Katie and George who recent stayed at Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery and without a doubt this is 5* cat accommodation. Your cats will certainly be cared for and well loved by the owner Jane and experience spacious, clean and well kept accommodation. We would not hesitate in recommending the cattery.

Purrrfect !!!
Having lost 3 cats in a year to old age, my wife and I decided to be 'pet-free' for a while to give us the freedom to travel etc.

It wasn't long before we realised that our home without a cat was not complete, so approx 12 months later and having contacted a couple of local cat's homes, we found Jane and Woodland Nook.

During our visit, unfortunately we did not find a cat - instead, the cat found us !!! and we agreed to provide a home for a small B&W cat; Katy!

Since then, we have taken Katy back to Woodland Nook on a number of occasions whilst we have travelled. Although there are many cattery's local to us, we have found none that match the quality, cleanliness and commitment of Woodland Nook.

I doubt if we would have this level of confidence with anyone else

We honestly cannot fault this business and will continue to support Jane and Woodland Nook as long as we can

Thought about staying there myself
I have an elderly cat with health issues but knew that she would be very cared for whilst I was away. Jane who owns the cattery obviously has a passion for caring for cats and this is reflected in the fantastic facility she has created. The rooms have been so carefully thought out with a proper bed and quilt. The rooms are heated and can be be opened so the cats can feel a breeze but without their view being obscured by netting. The setting is very tranquil so even the most timid cat wouldn't have a problem staying there. My cat responds well to being able to hear voices and the large wall mounted tv that she had in her room ensured that she settled very easily. My only concern is that as we live fairly close to Woodlands Nook that my cat Ellie might decide to take herself back there if we don't maintain the same care as she has received from Jane! No hesitation in recommending this cattery!

Simply The BEST!
What can I say about Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery that hasn’t already been said? We have been users of Jane Lynegar catteries for years and would not go anywhere else. Her dedication in providing for your cats every need is first class matched only by her enthusiasm for her cat rescue charity. She definitely does not just like cats – she totally loves them and in turn they all love her. The accommodation is at best, Rolls Royce standard and at worst, Bentley! The attention to detail is outstanding - far in front of any hotel I have stayed in. My two cats have spent time at Woodland Nook and Jane’s previous catteries and we have no hesitation in recommending Jane, her loyal team and her fantastically well equipped cabins to anyone.

Outstanding!
This is the first time we've left our rescue cat whilst we've been on holiday, and were a bit anxious about how she'd cope with being left.

I definitely shouldn't have worried, she has spent the last week being treated like one of the feline family, in a luxurious room complete with bed, sun room and maid service.

The lovely lady who runs the place also runs a cat rescue and you can tell she absolutely adores every puss which passes through her doors. I will be using this cattery every time we go away, with 100% confidence that my cat will be treated with the best of care!

Excellent Cattery
Really can't praise Woodland Nook enough, Tilly stayed in one of the log cabins for a week, it was amazing each room is large with a comfy quilt covered bed with a pillow, television and lots of toys, each room also has its own sink for fresh water and a cupboard for food, biscuits and treat, they truly are on their holidays being spoilt to the max! We now have a grumpy Tilly who doesn't want to be home, she would definitely have stayed longer 🐱

After a disappointing visit to another cattery, I was recommended to Jane and Woodland Nook by a friend; Socks and I were delighted with the care, love and comfort he was afforded. When I saw his cabin, I was tempted to send the cat to Wales for the week and book into Woodland Nook myself! We will be back...

Outstanding Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery
We have know Jane and used her services for a number of years. This is the first time our cat had boarded at Woodland Nook he had recently undergone a major operation and we knew he was in very safe hands. The facilities of the new lodges are outstanding and the benifit of the CCTV login was extra peace of mind and worth the money. The peaceful woodland setting and stunning room completed with a bed and TV and exterior run which is out of this world! You could stay there yourself. We can not reccomend Woodland Nook strongly enough. Well worth the money and would a visit in order to fully appreciate the facilities available.👍😻😻😻👍

Cats home from home
Jane loves cats. I new this from the first time I met her. She is so loving to them that she treats your cat just like she is his owner. Nothing is any trouble, she will go the extra mile to ensure your cat is made to feel safe and just like he would at home. Jane is your cats other Mommy. The Lodge provided for your cat to stay in is second to none with all mod cons provided to ensure you and your cat have a perfect time away from each other. My cat Pechus loved his stay so much I think he wanted to stay even longer. You can be assured you and your cat are in safe hands. Woodland Nook is the best place to have your cat boarded at, he will enjoy his holiday as much as you will.

Outstanding - probably the best cattery in the Midlands!!
We've used Jane's cattery services at least twenty times over ten years. Our cats came from Jane's rescue centre. We were so overwhelming impressed by the quality of care provided at both Woodland Nook and her original cattery, Top Cat 'n' Tails, that we've used them ever since, despite being thirty minutes away! No where else have we found such a caring cattery team.
When booked up, we've had to resort to alternative catteries; but none matches the care and security Jane's provide.
We're extremely particular about where and with whom we leave our cats. We've had several less than satisfactory experiences elsewhere, but would struggle to fault Jane's catteries or the effort Jane and her team, put into looking after animals in their care.
Woodland Nook is exceptional: Secure, comfortable rooms, homely and stimulating environments. We love their attention to detail and good documentation - it's so reassuring. Knowing our cats are safe and happy, ensures we have a great holiday too!!

Excellent 5 star Cattery
We have just boarded our cat at Woodland Nook Cattery run by Jane
It is the most luxurious Cattery I have ever seen, a bed a TV, toys, scratch posts, and most importantly cuddles from Jane
I was very nervous about leaving my cat for the first time, but we had a web cam that Jane provided, and could see she was relaxed and happy
I would recommend this Cattery to anyone
We are taking our precious cat back for a second time soon

Peace of mind
Not sure who was worried me or the cat, her first time at Woodland Nook. How wrong we were there is nothing to worry about. This luxurious catter is 5+ star. Such high standard of cleanliness, bed fit for a human, television and kitchenette. Very secure with security code. Nice and warm as my cat is an indoor cat she likes her warmth. She was home from home. Jane reassured us with such care and attention to detail. Would I send my cat there again? You bet I would. My cat is my child and very particular of her welfare. I definitely had peace of mind.

Luxurious Cattery
Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery is the best cattery I have seen. One of my boys is very nervous, but Jane spent lots of time with them during their stay, making it the best 'holiday' they have had. Jane gives regular updates and the webcam gives you access to check they are ok. Security is one of Jane's main priorities and the way the log cabins are set up, ensures there is never an open door to the outside world, which was very comforting. I will definitely be using this cattery again.

If a cattery describes itself as luxury, don’t believe it until you’ve viewed Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery.  This home from home cat hotel is the cat’s whiskers in comfort for your feline friend.  The immaculately kept individual lodges offer not only space and comfort, but touches to make your cat’s stay enjoyable and stress free; such as double beds, safe secluded additional bed areas for the nervous types, climbing platforms, toys, blankets, TVs for background noise, access to a conservatory with fresh air; and a bespoke feeding regime tailored to your cats, provided by someone who really cares for, and spends time with your cats while you are away.  And what’s more, you can watch it all going off via webcam too!  Simply outstanding.

Cat heaven,Complete luxury
We have used Woodland Nook twice now and it is absolutely cat heaven. The webcam is great and you can see Jane really spoils our precious little boys. The log cabins are 1st class with every comfort that could possibly be provided - quality food, luxury bed, plenty of toys and best of all lots of cuddles! Not just 5 star but 5 star+ it's definitely the Ritz of the feline world!,We have used Woodland Nook twice now and it absolutely cat heaven. The webcam is great and you can see Jane absolutely spoils our precious little boys. The log cabins are 1st class and the attention they get is 110%. Cannot praise it highly enough - 5 star+!!

Amazing!!
After adopting two cats from Jane over the past 10 years, we recently used the Woodland Nook cattery while we were away on holiday. Jane and the staff are all wonderful and you could not ask for more reliable and kind people to look after your cats! The cattery accomodation is immaculate and the very best that we have ever come across in the many years we have owned cats. You can even watch your cat over a live stream cam while you're away, for those of us that are worriers!! I would highly recommend the cattery to anyone.

Fantastic place
Fantastic place for your cats to stay whilst your away. Its like a mini hotel room. I even asked when i viewed the rooms if it was for cats or people lol. Jane treats your cats like her own and spoilt rotten. There are Web cams so you can see your little fur babies. The rooms are kept really clean. Can't fault it in any way. I would recommend this place 100%

Beautiful
Woodland Nook has such amazing facilities that I would stay there myself. However it's not just the facilities that make it so special, it is knowing that your cat will be looked after by Jane who has dedicated her life to rescuing and rehoming. If you get chance have a look round the rescue while you are there. My Bengal came back from his stay at Woodland Nook very relaxed. Jane does everything she can to make sure they have a happy stay, she even went out and got my Bengal raw chicken when he wouldn't eat.

Having known Jane for quite some time I would just like to say what a lovely careing lady she is , with total dedication to the feline world . This is why after visiting woodland nook boarding and rescue my wife and I decided to put our cat Milly in there whilst we were away for two weeks in April . What you have to bear in mind is that Jane along with her band of approximately 25 volunteers rescue cats in the UK as well as abroad , yes abroad !!! . Woodland Nook is there to support this sterling cause . I suggest a visit to Woodland Nook will be time well spent and guarantee if you want piece of mind for your feline friend(S) whilst your away on holiday you will come away from Swanick reassured .

Out of This World !!!
This cattery is amazing !! I'm sure when I went to fetch Sonny and Lillie home they looked at me and said "what have you come for, we like it here"
Their room was fantastic, a double bed with lovely bedding and soft fluffy pillows.
A large tv on the wall and webcam so we could see them whilst we were away.
All so lovely and clean and from visiting Woodland Nook I can see the love and attention
the guests receive from Jane.

TIGGERIFFIC !!!
This is undeniably the most luxurious cattery out there -
Raffles Dubai for our Feline friends !!!
Tiggers cabin consisted of a fully made up bed with duvet & pillows , 36" Flatscreen TV , Webcam link , Conservatory play area with views of the stream ,
It also come with its own Kitchen so the unit is fully self contained.
To give it 5 stars is an injustices as its so much more that due to the fantastic care and attention your cat gets from owner Jane and the staff.
Tigger has really bonded with Jane and the girls even giving then kisses and cuddles.
We have received regular updates and have been sent pictures of him having fun.
To have peace of mind while your away is priceless and if you leave your cat here you won't have to worry at all.
These people are proper cat lovers ..
They sprinkle something special on your cats holiday with them it's like ultra all inclusive.
If you love your cat like we love TIgger Woodland Nook is for you ..
It's just TIGGERIFFIC !!

A catastic place for your cat's holiday.
Luxury and peace of mind for your fur babies don't come better than this family run private cattery, tucked away in a private residence where Jane and Paul don't just work but live full time too. That's because these cats, and their rescue cats are their life, and it shows.
Not just any cattery, your cats are offered a log cabin or the "lodge" which come complete with proper beds, heating and TVs. They even have webcams so you can check in at any time too. Jane can also send you pics and updates via Facebook if needed. She will treat your cat as one of her own, spending quality time with them to bond and settle them in, as will her volunteers that support this fabulous cat hotel out of the goodness of their own hearts.
Our cats wouldn't go anywhere else, it's well worth the few extra pounds to see the quality of space and care they will receive in our absence. Highly recommended...your only worry will be if your cat wants to come home!

There's catteries and then there is Woodland Nook. A beautiful home away from home for our cats to stay. Perfect setting and a perfect host. You can even see the cats on the webcam, just to see if they are behaving. Thoroughly recommended to anyone who wants their cat spoilt.

Purrrr-fect!!
We've had cats for over 20 years now and have used quite a few catteries when living in different areas. The vast majority have been excellent, but Woodland Nook is just on a different level! It goes over and above our best expectations and we can't recommend it enough.
The facilities are fantastic and the level of care and attention that the cats receive is wonderful.
Can't recommend it highly enough!
