 I used this lovely cattery in December for my 14 year old cat who is very set in her ways. The rooms are so lovely and overlook countryside - not a cage in sight and very much bespoke caring to the needs of the individual animal. And the owner is catered for too with regular updates direct to your phone whilst away. AS a result my cat came home very relaxed, looking beautiful and as a testament to the great care, she is booked in for another 3 holidays.

It was our kitty’s first time in a cattery and she stayed for a week. Jane gave us daily updates as requested and was so patient with her. Jane tried many different foods with her to help her settle in and eventually managed to calm her down. I can’t thank Jane enough for giving our kitty a safe and warm environment for Christmas.
SaffronM-15 I really can't recommend Woodland Nook & Jane highly enough. This really is the most amazing place & Jane has thought of every little detail to make sure the experience is a positive one.
This is the first time we've used a cattery & I must admit I was concerned how our cats would settle. In 11 years they have never been away from home apart from brief visits to the vets. Moving house meant we needed somewhere for them to stay. Jane instantly made them welcome & I must admit I was amazed. They settled so quickly & the regular photo updates from Jane put my mind at rest. The lodges are a very home like environment (or better, could have booked myself in for a few days ;) !). When I collected them they were both settled, purring & all over Jane (I think they would have preferred to stay to be honest!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Woodland Nook & Jane to anyone that's looking for the perfect place to leave their cats in the knowledge they will receive the best possible care. SianW-115 After taking my cat Bryn to stay at Woodland Nook Boarding Cattery for almost 2 weeks, I was completely amazed at what a 'home from home' it was! He had his own penthouse room, complete with single bed, flatscreen TV, a secure decked balcony, toys and heated bedding. It was so comfortable I suspect he did not want to leave when I went to collect him! An absolutely superb service provided by Jane, I left him feeling completely relaxed as I did not worry about him being looked after. All at an affordable price. Highly recommend.

NatalieT-104  Lily stayed with Aunty Jane for the second time in October. It was so much easier leaving her this time as I knew she was in the best hands and that she would have the greatest care. Jane sent messages and photos regularly and I could see how much Lily loved her. In fact, we struggled to get her to come home! I was able to enjoy my holiday without worrying if Lily was ok. If you still have any doubts about Woodland Nook after reading all the 5* reviews, you really should go and have a look for yourself. I never want to leave Lily anywhere else. It is a fabulous place!
FionaG-134  Excellent stay for our little 'Missy'. A friend recomended Woodlank Nook and what an amazing place this is. The rooms are beautiful and clean with their own t.v and big bed so they feel at home. There are doors leading to a private outside area which Missy can overlook the garden and the sounds of the water feature and take in the beautiful surroundings. My daughters loved getting the photos sent during Missys stay. You can see how happy your little one is and it helps knowing Missy was having a lovely holiday of her own. Jane has excellent cat knowledge and is so helpful and is so kind and caring. We have booked short stays and recently had a two week stay. Missy loved it and we will definitely book again for our next holiday. My daughters love dropping Missy off and going to pick her up as they get to see the beautiful place Missy gets to stay in. It really is an amazing place. What a puurrrfect place!
SarahO-159  A stunningly beautiful place for your cat that truly couldn't be beaten; it is luxury 5* that you would love to stay at, never mind your cat! You know your cat will be loved, fed and looked after all the time you're away. Comfortable bed, tv and outside verandas are only half of the experience they'll receive.
ChrisbeverB  Our two have stayed a couple of times now and I have to say that Jane provides them with a real home from home. It’s a lovely place with several resident cats who are so chilled out and relaxed which just shows what a great environment Jane has created. The accommodation is top notch with comfy beds and plenty of space for exercise, even a tv! Our cats are always relaxed and happy when they return which shows just how well they’ve been looked after.
Special diets are no problem and treats are included! Jane takes great care to ensure guests have their dietary requirements fully met. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Woodland Nook, just make sure you book in good time as their well earned reputation means that they are very busy. DavidO-384  My two cats have just had a weeks holiday at Woodland Nook and I couldn't be happier with the comfort and care they received from Jane. You will not find a better cattery than Woodland Nook as it is literally like home from home for your fur babies complete with bed and TV in their room giving it a relaxed, homely feel. You can also take your pick off of the 'treat of the day' board for your kitties to enjoy including tuna, spit roast chicken, silverside beef and other yummy delicacies. You can tell this isn't just a job to Jane, it is her passion and she will treat your cat/s as her own. Jane sent us pictures and updates throughout the week which put our minds at ease that our babies were ok. They both came home very happy and relaxed. We have already booked again for next year along with my parent's cats and have recommended it to family and friends. Thank you so much Jane, you are amazing and your cattery is out of this world!
SamanthaW-285  When our normal cattery couldn't get my 5 beautiful boys in for our recent holiday I went into panic, and so I had to start the hunt for a new cattery. After visiting many cattery I had almost lost hope and then I visited Jane n Paul's cattery. I couldn't believe to standard of the rooms it was like a 5 star lodge resort. Jane has so much care to give and she truly looks after your cats as if they where her own. She fully understood how much of a crazy cat lady I was and reassured me that they would have a fantastic time too. She kept us updated regularly with pictures of them playing and having a great time. When we came back it was incredibly moving to see the bond they had made with our boys. Being a veterinary nurse I am always looking for high standards and I wasnt disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble she even went out to buy a hot water bottle for my baby spynx incase he was cold. I will never use another cattery, this is a purrfect place for my babies to have a holiday too
MichelleT-256  After searching and going to view a few catteries because I couldn’t get my cat in her normal one i came across this one which i left a message for someone to contact me. Jane kindly rang me i said she had 1 pen left, I couldn’t believe my luck I straight away went to view. I got there and it is amazing i was amazed by how spacious it was even had a proper bed. It also had a veranda area and you can even have the webcam option.

Lisa x  This must be the best cattery in the country - it’s more than five stars. The accommodation is really spacious and is furnished to the highest standard. The care that Jane gives is outstanding, she adores cats. My two cats stayed for a week at Woodland Nook and I could see them from the web cams that are installed. They settled straight away and had a great time, I could see that they were very content during their stay. I would recommend Jane and Woodland Nook without any reservation- I wouldn’t consider using anywhere else. It really is outstanding in every way.
DianaO-13  My two cats were lucky enough to be fitted in for a 2 week stay here. Jane has thought of every creature comfort for your cat and many human comforts too! Each large room, is a home from home. They are made to resemble a bedroom with comfy beds, tv's radio and enclosed outside space, with beautiful gardens to gaze at.There is even a treat list to rival a hotel to spoil your cat while you're away.
One of my cats is very nervy and hasn't been in a cattery for years because of this, but she soon settled in with Jane's care and attention. I couldn't think of a better place, run by a more caring person for your cat. JoannaC-103  Just picked up our 2 cats from Jane today after a 2 week stay. Very impressed and will be using Jane again! LauraW-524 LauraW-524  My 2 Bengals recently stayed at Woodland Nook for 8 days and when I picked them up I knew I had nothing to worry about! They clearly had been extremely well looked after and were so content. I was initially nervous about their first cattery stay but Jane put my worries at ease straight away. Her regular updates kept me reassured to see that they were perfectly happy. I really appreciate the care that Jane gave to my 2 for babies and when we next go away I will be booking a room at Woodland Nook straight away!
HannahD-159  Our three fur babies have been with Jane for nearly two weeks and she proved how dedicated and brilliant she is when our eldest got ill she gave us a ring and when we couldn't get anybody to take him to the vets she kindly offered. She took him to her vets on the same day and they were able to diagnose what was wrong with him and Jane started him on his medication straight away.
I can't recommend highly enough taking your cat/s to Jane to look after she does a fantastic job and each room is so well thought of in the best interests of the cat. Each time they stay I can't imagine how this cattery can be more perfect than it already is but it just gets better and better. Jane is constantly planning, updating and introducing even more cat comforts. I always book Woodland Nook before I book the holiday!! Jane has been looking after my fur babies for the last 14 years. She has so much knowledge from her 25+ years of caring for cats that I know if I need advice she will have the answer or different options for me to try. They are British shorthairs and can be hard work at times, but we have no problem leaving them with Jane from Woodland Nook, as we know they are loved, and cuddled, groomed and everything is done for them as we would do. Would never take them anywhere else, and can’t recommend enough Thanks again Jane Phil and Shirley,Just got our two ladies back from Woodland Nook Cattery again 💕 Would never let them go anywhere else, they are British Shorthairs, and can be hard work sometimes , but we are more than confident when we take them to Jane they will be loved and extremely well looked after Once again thank you Jane see you soon with our ladies Shirley and Phil  I am writing this, but don't really want to in case whenever my 2 babies want to stay, there will not be any room!....Anyway, forget all the rest of so called catteries. This is a holiday for them. No cage, no cat flaps, no death defying thin pieces of wood to crawl up and down. Tele, patio, bed, heaters, aswell as loads of room for them. This is the only place you should be taking your baby to if you care about them whilst you are away. .....but don't tell everyone please.😽😽.
 Just got back from a 2 week holiday having used Jane and woodland nook again for our beloved 19 year Siamese our gorgeous boy.. he can be very high maintenance being Siamese and 19 years old. We have nick named Jane our Buzz Light Year.... As she always goes above and beyond she is a wonderful caring lady... Treats every cat as if it were her own.. You couldn’t ask for better... I really can’t recommend Jane and woodland nook highly enough... you would have no worries she is a marvellous lady.
KarenB-469  Our cat Dot stayed with Jane at Woodland Nook on a recommendation from a friend. Jane was lovely and is clearly very dedicated to the cats she both looks after and takes in. The boarding rooms are amazing and the setting is beautiful. Very welcoming, homely and every need considered.
